Windows & Doors Direct Saskatoon installed a new fronts door and new patio doors in our house the week of September 21, 2015 (approx 4 months after placing the order). The first cold day we had in November 2015 the patio doors had a large amount of condensation so we contacted the company to have this looked at. On December 18, 2015 the installers finally came to look at this issue as well as repair the window on the front door that was leaking. They agreed that the amount of condensation on the window was not normal and there was a problem although they didn't say what that was only that they had recently replaced the window unit in another set of patio doors that week. The RH in the house at the time of their visit was 30% so this was not the issue and they agreed and said they would have the sales manager [redacted] contact me to get it fixed. We waited until January 17, 2016 and heard nothing so we emailed Mr [redacted] and he replied on January 22, 2016 that he would come and take a look. That visit has never happened even after numerous emails to the Mr [redacted] and the company's owner Mr [redacted]. They reply to emails and say they will look at it but never do. The last email I sent was on March 26, 2016 asking for an update on the situation after Mr [redacted] had replied on March 11, 2016 to an earlier email of mine saying he would be by that week to look at the door. To date I have received no replies to this email and the issue remains unresolvedProduct_Or_Service: Patio DoorsDesired SettlementI would like the sealed window units replaced on the patio doors and a written warranty provided that if the condensation continues next winter the issue will be revisited and a solution found to correct the issue up to and including replacement of the doors as this is not acceptable and the outside air is obviously entering through the door/window units causing the condensationBusiness Response We called Mr.[redacted] 4 times to arrange a time to meet with him and resolve the issue. None of the 4 times we called were suitable to Mr.[redacted], he insisted that we come after hours and our workers do not work evenings and weekends. We spoke to Mr.[redacted] today and insisted that if he wants the problem fixed that it has to be during our business hours. We are meeting him next week.[redacted] Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)In all of our email correspondence since December 2015 after their installers did come to my house during regular business hours and which I accommodated, at no time has Mr [redacted] or any other person from Windows and Doors Direct ever tried to call me by phone to arrange a time to meet until Mr [redacted] contacted me by phone on Thursday April 21, 2016 after this complaint was submitted. I did ask during this last phone call of April 21 if we could meet at 5 pm any day during the work week but Mr [redacted] insisted it be done before 4:30 pm which I have agreed to on Wednesday April 27, 2016 at 9:30 am. [redacted]. I asked to meet with Mr [redacted] after my work hours as almost every other company that quoted on this work met me in the evening or on weekends so I assumed this company would also provide the same level of customer service but since they don't I, as the customer, have accommodated themIn the emails that Mr [redacted] did answer from me since December 2015 they always said they would call to arrange a time but until this last call on April 21, 2016, no one has ever tried to arrange a meeting time which is why I have continued to email and request updates on how they were planning to remedy the situation. I have always been polite and respectful of them and wish I would be treated in a similar manner. I believe after waiting more than 5 months to have the issue resolved I have been more than patient and I still continue to look to resolving this issue amicably, but if the company wishes to not want to work out a solution with me that is their choice.I look forward to our meeting on April 27 and hope that a resolution can be agreed to at that time.Thank you[redacted]
