Most frustrating experience I have ever had. Owner does not keep his word. Office staff was not helpful. The new girl was the most helpful. I told her to look for a new job. Office manager should be fired. My 4-6 weeks turned into a forever wait. No communication on their part at all. Glad this awful experience is over. Would never recommend. 185 a window is a joke. My 3 small windows cost almost $1,000

I wrote in a few weeks ago hoping that this will help speed along a refund, and it has not worked. I am writing this final complaint for my attorney as proof as I have done everything possible to retrieve a full refund of 991.37$ for the two windows I have paid for in full on 2/3/20. I have not heard anything and will want to spread this information around so that this goes through the correct avenues. I do not believe they should be associated with Revdex.com as for five months I have been waiting for windows, and I havent received any emails or any calls.

First of all I would like to send my apologies to our customer for waiting so long to receive product in a timely manner. Unfortunately do to the covid-19 pandemic the manufacture shout down do to an outbreak at the factory and there were no deliveries for 3 months. You are not the only one in this situation we have customers still waiting for product from last year. As I also stated to customer we DO have your windows and are ready for install any day you would like. Please call our scheduling dept and we will have your windows installed the same day if we have too. Some time we may fall short of our goals which we have no control over but we always strive to do the best we can in this situation. BE SAFE EVERYONE

Complaint: ***

I am rejecting this response because:

we have already talked on the phone, no more stalling me. Just refund the money of 991.00$ I don’t want your services, I want my money back. You continue to give me the “run around” to buy more time. I don’t accept your response and am asking for my money to be refunded so I may go to another company, who wants my business.

Sincerely,

Nick

We just got our policy from corporate, there are no refund that are involving covid-19 delays. The covid-19 had nothing to do with our service or our ability to serve our customers. Corporate is referring all delays and concerns to the manufacturer.

We had Windows for Less replace 1 double window (West facing) after a massive hail storm back in 2016. This took approximately 3 months to complete due to all the hail damage around the area. Once that window was replace, we then decided to have them replace our 2 single windows (South facing) in our front room so all 3 windows matched and we liked the style of windows. Upon removing the 2 single windows, the workers did excessive damage to the stucco around the window frame that extended beyond the window frame itself and into the exterior wall of the house. They swore up and down they would fix the damage and they did after a battle getting someone out here to perform the work. Once the work was completed, we received a bill for the windows, which we paid and another bill for the Stucco repairs amounting to approximately $1500.00. We then got Robert *** on the phone and advised him that we were not obligated to pay for and will not pay for the repairs from the excessive damage caused by his workers. Especially since they said it would be taken care of at no cost to us because the excessive damage was caused by them. The owner threatened to take us to court and we advised him we would be more than happy to take this to court if necessary. He used language that we cannot repeat here and was extremely rude to the point of almost being violent on the phone towards us, but that was the last we heard about the stucco repairs and he even sent us a $10 gift card with his apologies that we sent back to him as we felt he needed the money more than us.
A couple years later in 2018, our West facing window they replaced leaked really bad during a torrential rain storm. We still had the Field managers business card, Frank ***, so we called him because we also received a "Windows for Less, LLC - Energy Saver Supreme Lifetime Limited Warranty' that states "NO CHARGE will be made to the original purchaser for glass seal failure or glass breakage." as this was a seal issue. Frank was very apologetic and stated he would get someone out right away and someone was out to resolve the issue by replacing the window.
Here is the heart of our complaint/bad review. The window is now leaking again from a rain storm we had last week, Mid June of 2020. We called the same number we have for Frank which is the main number on their website and we spoke with Robert *** (the owner) directly and explained what was going on. He stated he would see about getting someone out over the weekend, but it would be more than likely on the following Monday. Mid day on Monday, he called us and stated he has our information and he would call us back right away to schedule. To this day, he has not called us back. We have also called the main number several times and it rolls to voice mail stating the box is full. We also sent an email to to the one listed on their main website on that Monday after his call to us and we have not received a response. We were also able to call and leave a message on Tuesday evening because the VM box was no longer full, so we asked him again to call us as he promised he would to resolve our leaky window and he has not responded to any of our attempts to get this issue resolved.
This goes to show that the owner does not stand by his products, care about his customers and appears that he holds a grudge based on being held accountable for excessive damages caused by his employees and by not meeting their past performance and obligations when called out or honoring their Limited Lifetime Guarantee that states in the very first sentence "Windows For Less warrants to the original purchaser that all ENERGY SAVE SUPREME Vinyl Windows are GUARANTEED for as long as you own them or 65 years."

Window delivery and fulfillment obligations were misrepresented. I was told 3-5 weeks prior to purchase. It has been 8 weeks - still no windows.
*** purchased windows for a 4-plex one of its subsidiaries own located at *** I, *** spoke with the owner over the phone, personally, regarding a recent Windows for Less (WFL) site visit, measure and order for ***. I followed up on Friday, September 13, 2019, called near closing time. Owner answered and stated he was on his way out of office but decided to stay late to earn my trust and business for the first time. I was emailed the order and measure provided by Windows For Less, which included pricing. We reviewed over the phone.

One of the specific questions I asked prior to procuring and purchasing was what current window lead times were. I specifically said I needed a vendor to provide windows and deliver before November. The owner told me I had been vetted as a reputable builder by one of his installers and as a favor he would process my order with the MFR prior to closing. He stated, "Window lead time could possibly be 3 weeks if my order could be submitted before closing. However, in the event the vendor wasn't able to process, worst case scenario - my order would be placed on Monday (September 16) and would be delivered in 5-weeks."

I informed the owner delivery time was paramount, critical because of stucco integrating. I stated I would need the windows to be delivered prior to freezing weather, because they would need to be integrated with ongoing stucco installations. I stated, "If the windows are going to arrive later than October 30 I would need to go with another vendor." I was given assurances that my order would be filled and delivered before November. After speaking directly with the owner, and being sold by his confidince, expertise, and reassurances on his notion of 3-5 weeks, I provided credit card info over the phone. After collecting my info I was then told WFL's account processor had just stepped out for the weekend, but reassured my order would be processed no later than Monday, September 16, 2019. Owner said he would do me a favor and try to add my order to the closing weeks shipment and again mentioned,
"Lead time for delivery will be 3-5 weeks."

I've called Windows for Less every week since October 13th to request delivery updates. Each time I've been told, "They should be on Wednesay's truck." Every time I ask if someone can follow up. To date, I've never received any follow up calls on this order.

Yesterday, November 6, I called Windows for Less for the 4th week in a row and asked what the status was on the *** 4-plex windows. I was again told, "They should be on Wednesday's truck." I told the employee on the other side of the phone, "I was told that four trucks ago." I asked if he could follow up with me and provide me with the name of the vendor my order was purchased from and either he or I follow-up with them and get a status. I followed up with an email.

Never got a call back. Never got an email response either.

The stucco on my rental property remains incomplete, waiting for these windows. We are now nearing overnight temps below 25 degrees which will be causation for tent and heat on my rental property, an added cost of roughly $10,000.

I was told my windows would arrive in no more than 5 weeks. Apparently my windows weren't on yesterday's truck, because I was never called back... Which means maybe next week? Which would be going on 9 weeks, double the time I was quoted.

To-date, I feel as though Windows for Less misrepresented their end of the business deal. Order fulfillment promises to-date are double what I was told and sold. Windows have yet to arrive and my continual requests for manufacturer updates and info have gone unanswered. Communication from the organization has been dismal and disapointing.

I'm asking for help from the Revdex.com to aid in facilitating a positive outcome.

I think my complaint can easily be remedied with ownership and communication.

We are very sorry to he that the windows are taken so long to arrive. But we do not control the building and manufacturing of the windows. The manufacture was subject to some software problems and pushed orders back. We only give tentative dated, and would never give and absolute date. most of our windows will arrive 3 to 6 weeks. but sometimes depending on how busy they are it could take up to 10 weeks. I know that *** has reached to *** and they are working on arrangements to fix this ordeal.

We will always take care of our customers even if it is not our mistake.

thanks

Worst service, quality of work and lack of care.

I had an estimate for 12 windows to be put in, at one of my houses. I paid in full on 8/1/2019 I was told that the windows would be installed in three weeks. I had to call every week to see what was going on, due to the fact every time I called to get the windows scheduled to be installed *** told me I don't know when they are coming in and I can't tell you how long it will be. Finally after talking with the owner ***. Who told me that he would have to rob Peter to pay Paul. He gave me a sob story that I guess he tells everyone that they are having a changing of the guard. Which if you look at the reviews, there are many people who he tells this to. He also stated that they are the fastest company to get windows installed. I got 5 out of 12 windows installed, on 10/3/2019. (they were supposed to be installed three weeks from 8/1/2019.) I called several times asking what happened to the rest of the windows. All I got was I don't know, I can't tell you from ***, I asked to speak with *** and he kept saying he's not in. He should be in on Wednesday. I called ***s cell phone as well, sent him text messages and left a voice mail. He did not respond to anything. I called on Wednesday and spoke to a woman who said "ooo he won't be in today maybe tomorrow or the Friday."I told her what was going on and she said. "He should be in this afternoon, I will tell him to call you." In the end all I'm wanting to do is get the rest of the windows installed that I paid for. After several attempts it looks like they just took my money and don't want to finish the job.

At this point we are most likely going to have to take Windows for Less to court to resolve this issue.

The windows that they did install how ever, went like so. I included some pictures to show as well. First I had new tile installed in the bathroom. The installer for the window cracked two tiles and felt that to fix the problem all he needed to do was to but some white caulk in place of the dark tile. ( see picture) then the screen has a nice hole in it. The other window that was installed they cracked the tile and just figured why not do the same thing. I was not told about any of this at all. But hey, who needs to find out that the brand new tile is now got some nice big holes in it and no one will see it because there is white caulk filling up the hole.

Again, all we are looking for is the get the matter resolved. We just want the rest of the windows installed. Which judging buy the employee's and the owner. They don't care. If you decide to use this company please be very cautious.

Sorry Ashley, but sometimes we try to help anyone who calls in to us for help. You are NOT a customers of ours and we still tried to help. After doing some research the original home owner never filed for a transfer to you, that is why we have no records of you and your windows. We really tried to help but without that warranty certificate we can not help you. To fix your window it would come at a cost to us to repair your window. That wouldn't be good business to fix every persons window in Colorado at our cost. So for the inconveniences I would like to replace that window at a discounted rate.
We pride our self in customer services

I hired this company to replace and repair windows from a recent hail storm. They had to send 3 different people to get measurements for my windows, door, and screens. Why? The gentleman that they sent out to do the install measured the windows and compared his measurements with the paper he had instead of the windows that he brought. He then proceeded to remove the windows in my house that were going to be replaced assuming he had the correct windows. One of the windows was the wrong size so he had to board up the hole and come back the next day with the correct window. This left several holes from screws in the outside window trim which the company wanted to charge me to fix. My insurance company and I agreed that only the glaze bead and my sliding glass screen door needed to be replaced. Windows for Less sent the entire door and it wasn't even the correct one. When the install came back the second day, he replaced the screen because they didn't have the correct screen door and had to order it. My original windows have double locks and the new windows don't and they installed them anyway. The installer used clear silicone calk instead of white and now I can see where he cut the drywall and old calk around all of the new windows and the missing paint through the clear calking. Part of the drywall on one of the of the windows that was replaced is missing from under the paper and now I can see where the paper is sunk in around the window because of the missing drywall underneath. The new screen are bent and have holes in them. One of the re-screens they bent the frame where there was nothing wrong with it before. None of the brass screws are covered and I can see them all from inside the house. The basement windows leaked and now I have water damage to my walls and basement floor. I can see the shims used to hold with windows in place from INSIDE the house. There is missing trim on the basement windows and you can push on them and they move inside the frame. It seems that the tubes of calking used to hold the basement windows in place is all that was used. They missed screens that were supposed to be replaced and they also missed windows that were supposed to get new glaze bead. The installers son even came back to see that he needed to replace some screens. What is even worse is that my house is on the market and I took a day off of work because Windows for Less told me that they would have someone to fix everything. When I called them asking where this someone was, they told me that he couldn't make it. Stay away from this company.

This company is unreliable and the service is zero! In April we ordered a window to be installed in our home and after almost 3 months the job is not done and they collected 50% in advance. A real scam! We are in the process to sue the company. Stay away from them at any cost!

I ordered windows with the assurance that they would arrive by a certain date (two weeks after order date) as I have a renter moving into the property. I was not notified that the windows were broken upon arrival. When I called to get the status of the order (almost three weeks after order date) I was advised that it would be another two weeks until the windows came in. Not happy that I was not advised of this earlier. I will update review dependent on installation quality provided.
