Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

[Your Answer Here]
We feel that the roof and window only leaked After Windows plus did the work.  Over the past 20 years with many ice storms we never had a problem. we are going to have another roofer give us their opinion about this as soon as the snow and ice melt. That 2 nd opinion will determine if Windows Plus has done the proper installation.

At this time, I have been contacted directly by Windows Plus General Contracting, Inc. regarding complaint ID [redacted], however my complaint has NOT been resolved becausewindows Plus has sent a number of texts directly to me and stated that he would be willing to pay the roofer I have hired to repair the roof. After that is complete and he has paid the roofer we have agreed to absolve him of further leaks. At that time I would consider this complaint resolved. This will be repaired and estimated when the snow has melted and ladders can safely be installed around the house. I'm hoping by April it is completed. [redacted]

Windows Plus completed two separate jobs for the [redacted]'s starting on 7/**/2013 to 7/**/2013 in which we installed all new double...

insulated twin casement windows on the top floor of their home. One week later we installed a new architectural roof with 3' of water & ice shield and all new aluminum drip edge. For 7 months I never received a call from the [redacted]'s relating to any kind of roof leak. There were many rain storms and thunderstorms throughout the summer and fall period in which there was never a leak. Then in Feb. 2014, Jeanne [redacted] called me and said her twin casement window was leaking.I was doing another job that day, but left the job and went to the [redacted] house immediately to examine the leak. When I pulled up to the house, there was excessive ice build up in all the gutters and the ice was spilling out onto the roof and over all the gutters. ( I have pictures ).I put up the ladder and examined the new, new construction window that [redacted] thought was leaking. Everything was in order. By the way, there is no soffit or eave where that ice damning was occurring and where the roof was leaking. All the other eaves in the house are 18" to 24" wide and to my knowledge, there are no other leaks. I immediately went down and told her she has severe ice d amning. They had a hard time believing it, and I explained the phenomenon to them. [redacted] gave me a roof rake, I raked the snow off the roof and chipped away some of the ice, and within an hour, the leak stopped. I called back the [redacted]'s that night and they said it definitely stopped. I went back a couple of months later in the Spring of 2014 to examine the roof. I was with my painter [redacted], who spackled and painted her inside of the window jamb where the leak occurred, at no charge, while I examined the roof to see if there were any signs of a problem that might be causing a leak. In my professional opinion, everything on the roof and above that window in question looked good. That same Spring, [redacted] had another roofer look at my roof job, and he told her maybe a bigger drip edge would help. [redacted] called me, and on her request,I went back to her house late Spring or early summer with two workers and installed a much bigger drip edge,( I took pictures ) a nd even lowered the gutter an inch. I still told her I believed it was ice damning, but maybe lowering the gutter a little would help. I didn't hear from the [redacted]'s again until this Feb.*, 2015, almost one full year from when they had the last roof leak. Once again, one year of heavy rain, thundershowers and regular storms went by, never, ever got a call about a roof leak. I drove by the house and saw all the ice damning in that same spot, definitely severe ice damning. Over the last two years, I went back to [redacted] and [redacted]'s house at least 3 to 4 times to help them and give them my professional advice. I told them last year that some solutions for the ice damning could be : 1.) Installing heat cables in the leader and gutter, 2.) Building out a larger soffit in that area, since there really isn't any soffit there now, 3.) Raking off the snow after each snow fall with a roof rake so less ice can build up. My company has been in business for 26 years and has never had one complaint, especially with the Revdex.com. Thank You.

Review: In July 2013 windows plus replaced a roof on my home that was over 25 yrs old. It never leaked was just old. That winter 2013-2014 it leaked in the house in 2 window and ceiling. After a lot of threats he came back in the spring but only lowered a gutter rather than replace flashing higher than he put in. 2014-2015 this winter it is leaking again! He needs to flash higher than he did because I had another roofer look at it and that's what's wrong. I want them to pay to have it done correctly or do it again. It has not been 2 yrs. we never had this problem before he replaced the roof and we have certainly had harsher winters than the past 2 yrs.Desired Settlement: It will cost 2-3 thousand to fix the roof. Either give me back my money or flash the roof correctly and replace the shingles[redacted]
