*** *** called and requested service to fix her ac on
July 17th, she was scheduled for the next day July 18thOn the morning for
July 18th she called and said her friend was able to fix it and that she did
not need our service*** *** called again on the July 19th saying
that
the ac was not working again and what her friend had done did not workWe went
out on the 20th and determined that the fan motor was not good*** ***
states that we never told her what we were doing and just removed that motor
without her permission, however while the work was being performed she was on
the phone with what we believe was another ac company or a friend telling the
step by step what we were doing and what the problem with the ac system was
The technician then told her that we would get the price of the motor and call
her in the morning when we knew what the cost of the job was, but did tell her
that it would be somewhere between $700- $for the job and that the $
service call would be waived if the work was performedAfter an hour or so she
called the tech back and ask for her motor and stated that another company
could do the work for $and wanted her motor backThe tech then returned
her motor and collect the $service callAs for as the motor she claims
motor was actually still good and was just wired incorrectly, I do not believe
that to be trueI feel that *** *** called us out to find out the
problem so that her friend could replace the part and that she had no intention
of having us perform the repairWe will not be paying the amount requested by
her, we returned the motor and collected our diagnostic fee of $

[Provide details of why you are not satisfied with this resolution.]There are so many problems with the message from Northland A/C and Heating, first of all I did cancel the 1st service call due to a friend changing the capacitor on my unit fixing the problem so when the A/C went out the next day it seemed strange as I told Northland's tech [redacted] upon his arrival I wasn't on the phone I was standing right there as he sent his trainee down to get another capacitor he continued to remove my motor saying oh yes it's the motor, the motor has gone out. When the trainee returned the capacitor was 3 times as big as the original capacitor which I told Clint, the trainee stated the box says 15. [redacted] continued to place his hand inside the unit as if to connect  the capacitor which I wasn't able to see what he was doing.  After this he stated again yes it's the motor, as he continued to remove my equipment he stated he was in a hurry he had 2 more service calls to get to that day. As I stated previously [redacted] did not have a work order for me to sign or verbal consent to remove my equipment due to the fact he never ask my permission he was in such a hurry.  I wasn't on the phone with another A/C company ever while they were in my home as he was getting ready to run down my stairs I ask him what I was looking at in pricing for the motor which should have been explained in detail before cutting the wiring to my motor, " well a single motor runs four hundred to four hundred fifty dollars  so a double motor like you have should be eight hundred to 9 hundred dollars". [redacted] went on to ask if I had the money I told him I would have to apply for credit for something this pricey he just said ok and ran out.  Another one of my problems with his diagnostic check he never used a digital multimeter to see if power was even running to the motor or wiring. The entire diagnostic check was a joke I feel all [redacted] saw was an older women in a home with the temperature over a hundred degrees as an easy target and would have taken full advantage of the situation.  I didn't have a problem paying $69.00 for the correct diagnosis, but this isn't what I received. Even if I just wanted a diagnosis from him that's what I was paying for and had that been the case I should have been ask if I wanted them to do the work before cutting the wires to my motor. This caused me to purchase another motor and capacitor which was a total of $165.00 which I wouldn't have had to do if his diagnosis was correct also which shows they were going to way over charge me if they were charging $900.00 for the motor I was looking at an over charge of $735.00. [redacted] stated in his reply message that he didn't believe me when I told him my original motor is still good, I'm not a liar and he would be welcome to come check the old motor anytime it's sitting in my garage if he knows how to check to see if it's still running fine. This is why I am asking they purchase that motor for $100.00 since he told me it was bad.  I should be able to recap some of the money I paid out for his misdiagnosis as well as the $70.00 cash I paid him when he returned my equipment. On Aug. 6, 2015, at 5:20pm I left a message on the company's phone number to return my call, on Aug. 7, 2015, at 8:45am [redacted] called and left a message for me that we needed to get this resolved, I don't turn my phone on before 9am, but I returned his call that day at 1:02pm no answer so I left another message for him on his phone to call me back of course I haven't heard from him until this message he has posted with you the Revdex.com.
