Windy Hill Kennel Reviews (6)

In doing some research, the state of Florida has what is known as a pet lemon law This law protects me from getting a pet with a health problem It states that if I want my money back, I am entitled to it I would also be entitled to vet bills up to the amount paid for the dog All I ask is to be reimbursed what I paid for the dog and am willing to let all the bills go Only receiving half of what I paid does not follow the Florida pet lemon law??? This is my last attempt to get the money back that I paid for the dog This law also states that I have the option of what happens to the dog after reimbursement Let's just settle this without further involvement of other institutions

I was looking at them (Windy Hill Kennel- Gary Grandstaff Utica, Ohio) for a schnoodle, after reading your problem, Im not sure I want to go to them. It just takes one big problem review such as yours, to change my mind. Is you dog ok, did you get any kind of resolution from them?

I have sent everything to your vet that you have requested. This included the second opinion from another vet (which cost me over $to get). I had also went copies to the Revdex.com to file this complaint. Before buying this puppy from you, I spoke to you a few times by phone, to voice my opinion about this very same situation (health concerns). You, at that time, explained to me that there is different types of this breed. You told me that the mini and giant schnauzers are bred with another *** to get its size and for this reason those two have many different types of illness that can come from this. As for the standard schnauzers (my puppy), you explained to me that these are considered to be the actual PURE breed of the schnauzers and don't have many problems like the mini and giants do. If you had told me that my puppy was going to have a life long problem (incontinent bladder) that would require medication every days for the rest of her life, I WOULD NOT HAVE BOUGHT THE PUPPY FROM YOU! You reassured me, on the phone, that if I had any problems with the puppy I could get a new one. My last contact with you was just before Christmas. I told you, at that time, I wanted to bring the puppy back to you because I was driving to Ohio for Christmas and this would have saved paying for ANOTHER plane ticket. Your reply to me was to wait and see if her problems get any better. To me, that response was unacceptable because you were told she has struvite crystals less than two weeks after we got her and you said then that I could get a new puppy. Why did you tell me to hold on a little longer to see if she gets better??? Maybe you were hoping I would let the one year mark pass so you could say I was to late and the guarantee was up? Your answers have been up and down this whole time. As for a health guarantee, this puppy wasn't healthy from the start!! I refuse to pay more money to run a series of tests to see if this was a genetic defect from one of the parents. You told me I wouldn't have any problems with this puppy or you would give me a new one. Furthermore, my vet is now looking into exploratory surgery to find out why her vulva is swollen and has been like that for months. I told my vet that she was fixed at the week mark. He said that this may be part of the problem with her and suggests this exploratory surgery to find out what is going on with her vulva and bladder issues. My vet's name is Dr *** *** at the *** *** Hospital, ###-###-####. He has been her doctor from the first day we got her. Lastly, I believe that going back and forth with *** *** on this issue for some time, has caused me emotional attachment with my now dog. I do not wish to return her so that she can be killed because she has problems. All I am asking for is to sell the new puppy and pay me back for the money I have spent on my dog (vet bills and meds). This would also allow me to get her surgery($1000.00) she needs to hopefully fix her problems. If this doesn't fix it, then I am willing to live with my decision and this problem would be resolved. This is not fair that I paid all this money to *** and got a sick puppy that will cost me more that I paid her for the puppy

In doing some research, the state of Florida has what is known as a pet lemon law.  This law protects me from getting a pet with a health problem.  It states that if I want my money back, I am entitled to it.  I would also be entitled to vet bills up to the amount paid for the dog.  All I ask is to be reimbursed what I paid for the dog and am willing to let all the bills go.  Only receiving half of what I paid does not follow the Florida pet lemon law???  This is my last attempt to get the money back that I paid for the dog.  This law also states that I have the option of what happens to the dog after reimbursement.  Let's just settle this without further involvement of other institutions.

I spoke to my vet and she did review the findings. I have included them in the email. My guaranteeis as it states on the contract. Please send this to your vet and I will also as well as sending it to theRevdex.com. I would also if she were mine check with the vet about the meds she is on from the sheet yousent the Revdex.com. I would chat with your vet about the medications she has been on for a tong timewhich my vet discussed with me about as it contains estergeon and can rasie her levels and causeher vulva to swell. Ask your vet to take her off for 3 weeks then have her blood drawn and checkthe estergeon levels at that time to see if the medication she is on which is causing her raise theestergeon levels and could cause her vulva to swell. I am not saying she could not have missedsome tissue but but out of all the hundereds of spays she has done for us over the years we havenot had this nor has any puppy ever had a swollen vulva, I am not tell in what to do but before Iwould put my dog under anstisia and possible do a surgery that may be unnecessary I would checkthat first. If you do find you have issues I totally stand behind the guarantee and if you not wish toreturn the dog as slated on the guarantee then the most I would be willing to do is return 1/2 of yourpurchase price of the puppy.

6-19-15To the Revdex.comI received a fax from Revdex.com concerning a puppy that wassold to [redacted] from FL complaint #10650985. I have not heard anything from this clientsince before Christmas 2014. My fax is ###-###-####,my email is [email protected] and phone #is ###-###-####. I spoke to the...

family in FL today andtoId them I only cover as it says in my guarantee onlylife threatening genetic defects. [redacted] told me that itwas not a life threatening defect but a life long problemthat the dog would have to be treated for the bladderproblem all her life. I faxed everything that the ladysent over to me on 6-17-2015 to my vet. I had asked thefamily to get a second opinion and then send that to myvet. My vet from the [redacted] Medical Surgical Center didcontact their vet after she received the paper work fromthe [redacted] Hospital in 2014 and she did not getthe feeling from the vet that there was going to be a lifelong issue. I also have not received anything from the[redacted]s nor have my vet showing neither a secondopinion nor any paper work from any vet visit they havehad in 2015. I just faxed what the Revdex.com sent me to myvet last night and ask her to review it and get back to meas soon as she can. She said she would review it and putin writing her opinion of the other vets findings, but shesaid with out anything from this year & no secondopinion she could not make a solid opinion and wouldlike to have all the findings to go over. I spoke to hertoday and she also said she never received any paper Ifully stand behind our health contract and always havebut I do not just hand over a new puppy or return thepayment for a puppy from a clients description with outthe findings from 2 different outside vets and also theopinion of our vet reading and consulting with the vetsthat did the testing. 1 would like the family to fax overto our vet the paper work from their second opinion aswell as any vet information they have from 2015 thatthey say they had done and once my vet reads thefindings and consults with their vet by phone. If this issomething that shows this dog has a genetic defect thenyes we will honor our contract. I would like to finishthis issue one-way or the other as soon as possible. Iam asking for an extension of 3 weeks until all the vetwork has been sent to my vet and she contacts theirvets and finds out exactly what is going on with this dogfrom the vet not from the family.
