of us were treated with much disrespect. The window guys will not even ever go there again because of how disrespectful the customer was. Down stairs trim busted up because the previous installer caulked the trim in and over nailed it and it was dried out because it was over 50 years old maybe a lot more. I had offered to replace said trim but she wanted to try to glue it. The windows were not in an accident, the shipping strap came lose on delivery and some screens got ripped. They all went back and were looked over to make sure they were ok. Then they were reshipped with all new screens which came in a separate box, and we changed them after they were installed. The windows were not ordered 1/4” small in depth, they only come that size. We usually put a small trim molding on the bottom but she didn’t want that. I didn’t get caulk all over the inside of the windows. My other guy that sub Contracts with me refused to go there to work after the first set of windows because of how she was. The caulking she is refuring to is out side where we had to wrap the wood to the brick and there were huge gaps where the brick was in and out. You can not feather caulk like that or you will have a bad mess. She was going around the house and looking at every thing we did. She didn’t say anything, except she wondered why I didn’t feather out the caulk and I explained why and she seamed ok with what I told her. The only thing I did was I thought that one sash had a ding in it so I told her I will order her a new sash and I did. I gave it to her dad who owns the house and she will not allow him to install it. When the job was complete I gave her a $200.00 discount and told her that I would stop back in a couple of weeks to check to make sure the caulk didn’t shrink because it was kind of cold the day I put it on, so it may shrink in a few spots, and I will recaulk it. She said ok and she played me and right off told me that she was upset with the fact that we didn’t change the trim on the dinning and kitchen windows. I told and showed her in the bid that we specifically said we will install the old trim. She watched me put the old back on and said nothing. So I agreed to get some samples and drop them off. The next day I got a call from her and she was blasting me and calling me a crook and telling me that I do terrible work. I drove over to her house and she was up set because a couple of spots the caulk had shrunk. I tried to tell her that we talked about this and she got very disrespect full with me. I could not even get a word in, she made up her mind that I was taking advantage of her. A few days later she called and left a nasty message that was so long that she had to call back to finish it and then the second one was so long she had to call back a third time. I had had it by then and I told her dad when I gave him the sash that I would change the sash and check the caulk but only if he were there and she was not. She would not allow that so that is where it stands. I truly believe that there is nothing I could do to make her happy.
