Winnebago Motor Home & Trailer Sales, Inc. Reviews (1)

I purchased my 2015 motor home from this dealer special order. The person who took me on my walk through thought it smart to keep calling me "slim" even though I am a woman that is not. I ignored his rudeness choosing to take the high road. Several months into ownership I needed a few things repaired from warranty. I took motor home to dealer and later picked up. It was the same condition after one use as it was after they " repaired". My friends were able to correct the flaws, not the dealership.
Then May 2016 I tried to use this dealership where I had purchased. After waiting over 3 weeks for an oil change and a small warranty repair a message was left on my phone asking to move my appointment back. When I called the service department the man on phone said he had no idea why they were cancelling my appointment day. He would have Mick call me back.
Mick did call back and said they needed to move my appointment back. I told him he could move me forward not backward as I had already waited over 3 weeks for this needed oil change for upcoming trip and small warranty work. He said there was a death of a friend of the family and couldn't move me forward but backward. I found this strange as the other serviceman had no clue why I would be moved at all! I told Mick this was not acceptable. I had a trip planned as Memorial weekend was coming up. He said "thank you for your consideration" and abruptly hung up on me!
In unbelief I then called Terry, Mick's father and owner of dealership. I calmly began to replay my experience about the rude hang up and of already waiting the 3 weeks for the service appointment. Terry cut me off and actually blasted, " you must have never experienced a death"! I was taken aback and replied I had known death since the age of 11 having already lost 4 siblings and many others, all the while wondering why on earth I was having to defend myself! He yelled back into the phone, " well you sure don't act like it"! And then he hung up on me!
Confused and shaking my head in disbelief I called the dealership again. I asked for Terry stating who I was. Terry gets on the phone and I say I think you hung up on me. He said he did indeed as the conversation was over. I said no it was not over and it was rude of him to hang up on me. He hung up on me again!
I called back yet again stating who I was again. This time when he answered he actually shouted into the phone, " who are you and what do you want"?! I'm believing by now this dealership needs help, I explain who I am and that I am getting horrible service and I want a phone number I can call to report them. He fumbles for a second and spews a number out so fast it was impossible to write it down or to understand what he said. Then he hung up on me one more time.
Once again I call the dealership apologizing to the lady who had been answering each of my calls, stating who I was and that I needed a phone number from Terry. She was very nice and chuckles. Maybe she is used to this???
Terry gets on the phone and I tell him one more time who I am and that he spoke so fast I could not possibly write down the number and please speak slower so I could actually write the number down so I could call and report him. He did! Then he hung up me again...
I call the number and it was a wrong number! Guess what? I don't give up easy! I call one last time. Terry gets on the phone answering each time, " Winnebago motor home, how can I help you"?! ( what a joke) I tell him one more time my name, which by now he should have memorized, and that he gave me a wrong number! He seemed
a bit flustered, took his time and finally gave me a correct number. And I hung up on him!
I called the number he gave which was for Winnebago headquarters. After holding for 24 minutes a real person answered the phone and I reported the totally unprofessional attitudes and service of the owners of Winnebago motor homes.
I took my 2015 motor home to a local oil change company which did an excellent job. The warranty work? Headquarters told me after placing yet another call to them that Winnebago motor homes could do that work but at a later date. I wouldn't trust a flat tire to this dealership! And I was going to upgrade and purchase a larger motor home. I will, but not with this business
And for the person who lost someone, I feel for you. I KNOW what it feels like to have loss AND compassion. Mick and Terry? Not so much...
I took a picture of all the calls I made. Unreal!
