Winnemucca Emergency Physicians Reviews (1)

Review: Winnemucca Emergency Physicians has double, and possible triple billed my wife, [redacted]) for services made over four years ago. They have bought and sold the supposed debts so many times that my wife has had to pay the same amount(s) multiple times over, just to different agencies. We continue, to this day, to receive new bills from many different collection agencies, on behalf of Winnemucca Emergency Physicians for re-occurring amount(s) that have already been paid. This has caused great duress and stress on myself and my wife. My wife suffers from high blood pressure and as such, these bogus bills stand to cause significant, possibly physically harmful problems for my wife. Winnemucca Emergency Physicians is a billing company based out of PA; working for a hospital in Winnemucca, Nevada. I believe that a large part of the issues at hand have to do with poor record keeping (opening multiple "debt" accounts for one client) as well as the shuffling, re-creating and buying/selling of debts. My wife and I recently started the purchase of a house, which included having a credit check done on both of us. My wife's credit shows no outstanding debts to any parties. I believe that these companies are either willfully and purposefully trying to make dishonest money or are incapable of properly running a business. Either way, I want the harassing bills to stop coming and all erroneous supposed debts to be cleared.Desired Settlement: Winnemucca Emergency Physicians needs to reign in their selling of debts to multiple agencies. They need to keep proper records of all accounts as well as consolidating accounts to be more efficient while stopping the double and triple billing of clients. I highly believe that this company needs to be thoroughly investigated and fined if possible, due to their poor practices and outright dishonesty. I would like all supposed debts owed to Winnemucca Emergency Physicians be removed.

[redacted] c/o [redacted] 11:54 PM (10 hours ago) to me [redacted], Below is the text reply for the complaint. I will have to send the attachments separately due to my email providers bandwidth being low. I am rejecting this response because: Most of the list of accounts that were provided have been either paid or were an error. I attached the list that was provided to me along with my wifes notes in regards to each account. Please see notes and receipts that are attached. Winnemucca Emergency Physicians has poor record keeping and business ethics. They have sold my wifes accounts to multiple creditors, and we have been receiving bills from a large number of different companies in regards to the same accounts. When the creditors have sent us bills for these, it has been very difficult to track down which original accounts she has been billed for as the account numbers always change. There has been instances in which WE Phys. has sold her accounts to agencies before receiving agreed payments from her insurance. While the creditor went through the process of reporting her debt to the credit bureaus, WE Phys. has received payment from my wifes insurance. WE Phys failed to follow up with the creditor and cancel that account as it was no longer delinquent, and those accounts reflected in her credit report even after the debt was settled. My wife made a payment (see [redacted]) to the collector when she saw there was a delinquent bill showing on her credit report. She called WE Phys. months later to follow up with them on all the accounts that were showing delinquent and it wasn't until then that my wife was made aware that that account had been satisfied by her insurance and the payment that she had made to the collector was refunded back to her. Account number [redacted] was recently billed to her for the first time on January 2014 for a service that was fulfilled in April 2009. My wife called WE Phys in January and they informed her that report was no longer with them and was sold to [redacted], so if she had any issues that she needed to call them to discuss them. She called [redacted] and they reported to her that account was opened originally on April 2009 and that it had been marked as a Workmen's Comp account so she never received a bill for it. She asked them why 5 years later they are now following up on that account and sent it to collections when no one has called her to verify the status. That account was marked in error as a Workmen's Comp file and fell off the grid for many years. [redacted] said they'd call and talk to Wmca Emergency Physicians to see why they never followed up with Workmen's Comp to get payment info on the account. She was informed that WE Phys had no clear answer to that. That account was in limbo for all those years and now that WE Phys. followed up on it, they were made aware that Workmen's Comp would not be paying it so they immediately sent it to collections without notifying my wife of the status. My wife reported this to the Revdex.com. Attached you'll find the response letter that she received from [redacted]. They deleted that account off of their system as it was an error. When she spoke afterwards with WE Phys. they let her know that they would be deleting that account as well as it was an error on their part. This company has created so much grief and lost time for my wife and I. We have had to back track and investigate file after file to try to make sense of all of the bills that have been sent to her through various collection agencies. Some bills have been bought and sold off multiple times to different companies resulting in us receiving phone calls from multiple creditors at a time for the same accounts and duplicates of delinquencies reflecting in her credit report. They should be held accountable for their poor business ethics and all the malpractice on their part. They need to figure out a better system of communication and billing to prevent these issues from happening, because ultimately it affects the consumer and not their company.[redacted] 11:54 PM (10 hours ago) to me [redacted], Below is the text reply for the complaint.
