This business response was received by Revdex.com via phone.The owner said the following:- he is willing to help this consumer (he said they initially met through social media)- he said she brought her mechanic with her to inspect this vehicle ( [redacted] **), he said he buys cars and then sells them- he said the consumer came to him with her mechanic and this was before he even had a chance to inspect the car, he said he had pretty much just purchased the car and the consumer was eager to buy it, he said there was a fight to get the car between she and another lady- he said he typically does an inspection on each of his cars before selling them but because the consumer said she was bringing a "super mechanic" who has been working on cars for years with her he decided to let her mechanic inspect the vehicle- the owner said the consumer and her mechanic had the car for about an hour and then came back to say they thought the car was in excellent condition (the owner said he thinks the car had only one owner, there was no rust on it and it had low mileage for the year around 102-103K miles, according to the owner)- the owner said the consumer even ran her own Carfax report before buying the car, he said he thinks she even test drove it twice- the owner said the consumer's mechanic only requested some minor repairs such as a tie rod- the owner said the car was purchased and an agreement was signed by the consumer, the owner said there was no warranty offered on the car because he did not personally inspect it- the owner said the consumer had the car for months before she reported a problem with it, he said he doesn't feel any liability to handle the cost of her transmission repairs- the owner said he will assist the consumer in finding a used transmission at a really great price, but she will have to pay for it, the owner also said he will give her a break on the cost to have his mechanic do the transmission repairThe owner also said he will not pay for the repairs because of the length of time the consumer has had a vehicle also because she had her mechanic check the car out before she bought it As-Is
