Review: I took my car for repairs. It was diagnosed with needing a thermatate total cost $180. My car was stolen in there possesion.

10/22/13 was when my car was stolen. Nothing he has done, he has no insurance. I have given him 600 for repairs. I have spend 800 on a rental car.

Desired Settlement: He should either replace my car or give me money for the car.

Review: My 2004 [redacted] was serviced at his shop for loud noise from wheel bearing. [redacted] showed me what the wheel bearing looked like at my request and I asked if the other component needed to be replaced as well. He said, No, it is fine just the wheel bearing is bad". When he was complete he had me test drive the car and it was making a different noise that was in the same area and very annoying. He stated that the other part "the wheel bearing hub" needs to be changed as well. I asked how much for that part and he told me that it will be 120 for parts and labor. (I consulted with other automotive mechanics and was advised that the hub is typically replaced as well. I was also told that a mechanic can clearly tell when the hub needs to be replaced as well.) I was going to ahead and get it done as my car needs to be fixed and he knows the work that he has already done but he has made it beyond inconvenient for me. He initially let me know to bring the car Monday 8.25.14 after I got off of work and when I arrived, he told me he could not do it and to call the next day. I did inform him of what time I get off and what time I would be at the shop Monday after picking up my children from their after school programs and he said that was fine. When I called today 8.26.14 he said that he can't do it and that his shop closes at 6 even though the sign clearly states 7pm. He hung up on me after yelling at me and telling me to go to another shop. I did nothing wrong besides entrust my car to a man that is a liar and terrible business man. He is dishonest, unfair, rude and not a good person. He should have let me know that the other piece needed to be replaced instead of finding another way to charge me more for additional labor that was in his error not mine... He is the mechanic! I am hurt by the deceit and my car is making a terrible sound and drives worse than it did initially...Desired Settlement: I either want a refund or for my car (wheel bearing/hub) to be fixed properly. The amount paid was $210 plus time and gas from having to drive to his shop for nothing. I do not live close to that shop and it was out of the way.

Review: I brought my Van to Winters for repair of Fuel Pump and now experiencing gas smell and leakage.

I took my Van to Winters Motors for repair of Fuel Pump. [redacted] stated after diagnosis that the Fuel Pump was good but the computer wires were damaged. When I picked up my Van, the car was running; however, the dashboard no longer worked but it worked when I brought it in for repair. He refused to fix it without paying him more money in CASH. That same day and after driving the Van around, I could smell gas from inside the car; I also notice something leaking from the car that smelled of gas. I had picked up my Van at closing time, so I had to wait until the next day to take it back. He stated that he smelled gas but he could not keep working on my car for free. I also told him that the check engine light came on. He went under the Van and stated he smelled the gas but there was nothing he could do. He took $550 dollars in cash, which was to only payment he would accept, but refused to fix my car properly no figure out why the new problems were happening. He stated I would have to pay him $100 dollars for parts only to fix the dash board. I had to drive away with my 5 kids in an unsafe vehicle. He took my money but did not fix my Van properly and now he is refusing to look at my Van at all without MONEY for a job he failed to do the first time. Please HELP!!! What are my rights?Desired Settlement: I am asking for a full refund of my $550 dollars in order to hopefully find a more reputable auto shop.
