August Edgeco performed a sfspot treatment of an Attic for *** ***.New owner contacted Edgeco and stated that the ENTIRE ATTIC was moldedWe advised him that mold is now regulated as of January area's greater than 10sf required a licensed mold assessor to evaluate.A few weeks
later we received a mold assessors report identifying less than sfof mold. Acting in good faith Edgeco returned and retreated the area of concern at NO charge to the current owner.WE are now being asked to reimburse the new owner for the cost of the mold assessmentIf he had not overstated the amount of mold, Edgeco would of been able to perform re treatment under the new current laws.Assessor's Report Page of states that the total area is less than 10sf. In closing, Edgeco provided remedial services at no cost to new owner.The decision of hiring the assessor was based on the homeowner describing the mold as the ENTIRE ATTIC.This home has LESS than 10sfof mold

The response received form the business is not accurateI, a new home owner found mold in my attic in the same general area of the treated areaI contacted the mold remediation company to essentially finish the jobNot to treat a totally different area of the atticNot to treat the entire attic as the businesses response statesI was told by the business that because of new laws for 2016, that the business could not return to the job site without a licensed mold assessor assessing the areaSo I scheduled a mold assessorI was never told that the amount of mold may or may not require an assessorI was told I needed one or they would not comeAfter the assessment was done and the business received the assessors report the crew cameI called the office to get clarification on the description of the job to doThe office told me just as the crew did; that there was no new job description, that they work off of the old job invoice. With the response from the business this has now become a argument between their words and my wordsIf the company could provide a recording of the phone call(s) the truth would come to light because I know that I was specific when describing the details of the mold and that it was (what I thought) mold that was missed from the original remediation.

My wife and I had a fantastic experience with JL Design. We bid out our job to add 1,000+ square feet to our home. JL Design's bid was amongst the lowest and was broken down into much more detail than the other bids. Once the job started, the general contractor, his employees, and the subcontractors were all top notch. They were dependable, trustworthy, and did fantastic work. The owner/general contractor made himself available to us at all times of the day and night, during the week and on weekends, and was there rain or shine to make sure our home ended up just like we wanted it. The experience was first class and I would recommend JL Design to anyone!
