With regard to complaint ID ***, I respectfully submit the following rebuttal to Ms ***'s complaintMs ***'s complaint is completely without Merritt; this company worked tirelessly with Ms *** to offer solutions to her problems; many of them had nothing to do with the Interlock Device
Ms*** continually called my Technicians, *** *** and *** ***, occasionally with interlock related problems, however, most occasions nothing to do with the deviceThe technicians solved the VM and Handheld device issuesFurther calls generated by Ms *** were of a personal nature, one phone call to Mr*** lasted over an hour; he attempted many times to end the call but, as she was a client he did not want to be rudeA phone call to Mr*** at 11:30pm was purely personal, when asked if she was in a lock out, she replied no, she just wanted to talkThe nature of the call was extremely personal asking questions which could constitute sexual harassmentBoth of these situations can be confirmed by both Mr.*** and Mr***'s significant othersWhen I attempted to intervene, both by voice call and txt, Ms*** vacillated between being co-operative and aggressiveI have those txt messages and e-mails after the factMs*** stated at one point she wanted to be removed, I did attempt to offer further training, however it would not be offered by Mr***She did accept that answer, when she became verbally abusive, I told her she was no longer acceptable as a client, and she would be responsible for the $early release of contractI was personally in attendance at her removal, due to the fact, she was being removed at our Mesa location, where Mr*** is the technician, and he was not comfortable being alone with herAfter she was removed, she attempted to engage in conversation with Mr*** while in her vehicle, we had several customers waiting, therefore I instructed him to go back to workThis infuriated Ms*** and while I was walking back into the office, Ms*** drove her car toward me in a very threatening mannerMr*** will attest to this actI urge the committee to refrain from any negative action against Alcohol Detection Systems. Respectfully submitted by:*** ***Alcohol Detection Systems

Alcohol Detection Systems’ (ADS) ignition interlock devices are NHTSA certified and tested to comply with state requirements Each device is set to detect alcohol and prevent the driver from starting the vehicle if any “type” of alcohol is detected Although you were able to
start the vehicle and provide the rolling retest successfully, certain products, foods and drinks contain alcohol (i.e., bread products, mouthwash) and, if consumed, depending upon the concentration level of said product in the user’s mouth, an alcohol reading may be detected by the device upon providing the next sample ADS recommends to our drivers to avoid using, eating or drinking any products that may contain alcohol to minutes prior to starting the vehicle, and to abstain from using eating or drinking any products that may contain alcohol while driving to avoid a possible positive sample It appears from the scenario described in this correspondence that the device was working properly by not allowing the vehicle to start when alcohol was detected The unit is programmed so that another attempt to start the vehicle is permitted minutes after a positive sample is detected; you were allowed to start your vehicle minutes from the second positive reading, therefore, the positive alcohol reading was most likely caused by the product you consumed A technician would not need to come out to the vehicle to check the unit if a positive sample is provided as a driver is allowed to retest every minutes Once a clean sample is provided, like in your case, the unit will allow the starting of the vehicle If the unit was malfunctioning, an error message would have been displayed on the handset and you would not have been permitted to retest at that point ADS’ customers are very important to us and all complaints and concerns are taken seriously Please feel free to contact our headquarters at ###-###-#### should you have further questions or concerns regarding our product or service

Problems with billing agreements overcharge and refunds...very polite at beginning and then not so much next communications from there on...

You have a DUI and you now need a breathalyzer in your car so you look for something with a low monthly fee and free installation so you choose ADS. Don't! They know you have no other options once you signed up and that is exactly how they treat you. I have the device for a year now, but I missed my last appointmet and I got locked out. They charged $25 to unlock, $25 for the missed appointment. When I asked if they could waive it I just got a flat out no.
Besides their rediculously high fees good luck trying to get any useful information when you call customer service. Nobody knows anything and they just give you other phone numbers to call. On my last call the representative gave me the number I just called her on and advised they would be able to help me.
Take my word for it and use another company.

I just got this device installed on a 2006 BMW 325i seemed crazy when the fees were being read off to me which I went along with what I'm not cool with is the dope head installer with the weed pipe sitting in plain view in his work Bay clipping wires on my expensive new car which he seemed to not know how to put back together correctly in the first place so after get the device installed I had an appointment at the dealership that I had just got the car from that morning for warranty diagnostics. Come to find out the it broke the hood release lever when he was messing with it which the dealership confirmed when I got there and they can't fix it until Monday. They are reporting this place then the unit looks like [redacted] I just started the car 30 minutes ago to move it from one location outside to another for cleaning the tires once I got done I got in to go about my business I tried like 14 times in a row just sweating in my car error sample too low error sample to high error temp so now I'm stuck until this piece of [redacted] cools off do I need to carry it around with me everytime I go anywhere? They need to correct this by for one by giving me the money back I paid to have it installed my first month they also need to pay me the couple hundred it's gonna cost me to get the hood release fixed and last but not least they need to take this piece of [redacted] out for free cancel my contract so I could go with quikstart because I will not deal with this for 2 years and be late and stranded because the unit gets too hot but was working fine 10 minutes prior. Make it right or I'll take matters into my own hands. By the way this was the mesa location off of Southern Ave just some dirtbag looking place with no AC bathroom out of order total ridiculousness.

Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.I respectfully submit the following in response to Ms. [redacted]’s false statements regarding my complaint. My complaint was filed with Revdex.com with complete Merritt. Ms. [redacted] continues to falsify information and fabricates the sequence of events that actually occurred  I have logged all of my interactions via audio recording, via emails and via text messages with the employees of ADS and with Ms. [redacted]. I am prepared to move forward to submit to Revdex.com all of the evidence to show how many times Ms. [redacted] has falsified information not only to me, but now also to Revdex.com. I am appalled at Ms. [redacted]’s false statements and allegations with regards to my interaction with the technicians and appalled at her allegations with regards to the sequence of events that occurred the day I had the devise removed, which by the way, was visual and audio recorded.  ADS should not be able to conduct business in the state of AZ. This is an issue about integrity and how ADS operates their business. Ms. [redacted]’s integrity, especially in a position of leadership, shows a bad example of how she treats customers in an effort to gain absolutely nothing but to cover up her unprofessional behavior. She is taking a situation with people who are in a misfortunate situation and in a vulnerable position and twisting the facts and making false statements. I have attached a lengthy response and the sequence of events.  I am prepared to move forward in any manner required by me to pursue this complaint against ADS. Just as a side note, the company that is currently servicing me, had mentioned to me that they have had lots of clients who have come from ADS. I don’t’ feel I should pay the $300 termination fee based on the fact that I did not terminate the lease, I have the details of all my interactions with Ms. [redacted] attached hereto.  Regards,[redacted]

I read the Fine print in every part of the contract I was given, I understand that the policy is you are charged $25.00 per time you are locked out of the vehicle, I do not use alcohol products, as instructed or had anything in or near my mouth with alcohol. I went to start my vehicle, and it would not start. I used a calibrated law enforcement breathalyzer to confirm I had no alcohol in my system. Sure enough, I did not and the unit shows 0.00. They are cheaper than the rest of the companies, but will hit you with the fees even when you dont have alcohol in your system to make up the difference in price like everyone else. I am a diabetic, and forsee it showing a low alcohol reading quite often, so looks like it will be 25.00 everyday for me to go to work when my blood sugar is off. Unwilling to resolve these issues and charge a additional fee if no one from the company calls you back within a day.... which doesnt happen.. so if you are a diabetic you will have this issue or want a company that will assist you and provide customer service go somewhere else.
