the customer to drive it for a few days and we would recheck. The reason we didnt test drive the car was because the roads had 4-5 inches of slushy snow melt on and would have made it hard to detect any leaks. He wanted a second opinion, so that same day he got one. When he came back demanding compensation, we talked about the warranty and how it was 5 months past. We agreed that I would pay for the labor of the head gasket repair, so I gave him a check for 754.80. He demanded his money back for the diagnosis, so I gave him 40.00 more in cash. After all of this I realized that there was no way he would ever let me touch his car again, I offered to have shipped to the other shop, a used engine with similar miles and he again demanded full compensation at the extent of an new engine. I realize this is a hard thing, but feel we have tried to make it right.
