As your letter we received stated, there are two sides to every disputeWe appreciate the opportunity to present the facts of the complaint in questionOn the evening of September 26th, our business received a request for service from ***, with whom we have been contracted with for over
yearsThe member's contacted his home club, *** *** ***, to request his vehicle, a Volvo, be towed from his home to a repair facility of his choiceDue to the member's location he was not within his home club's areaTherefore, his request was passed along to the *** *** *** club to be dispatchedOur facility was contacted to provide service to this memberEven though he was within our club area, the member was not in our contracted area for serviceAnother provider was unavailable therefore we agreed to accept the call for serviceAs to the member's claim that he waited two hours, our truck was on scene within minutes of receiving the dispatchThe time that elapsed between his call to his home club and the time that we were dispatched is entirely out of our control
To address the next issued, the customer wrote that his car "sits low to the ground"There were several photographs taken of the customer's front bumper while the vehicle was at his residenceThey were taken with an Apple iPhone that records the geographical location of each photo takenIn these photographs it is obvious that this bumper had previous damageOn Monday September 29th 2014, these photos were emailed to the *** *** *** *** *** *** Supervisor of the *** *** Pennsylvania club by our facilityThis supervisor then forwarded the pictures of the member's bumper to his home club, *** *** ***Their Approved Auto Repair Manager reviewed the photosThe two clubs "agreed the damage looked pre-existing and the bumper was already in need of replacement", it was their conclusion that the member "did not incur any monetary loss"A copy of this letter was sent to Wissinger's Auto & Truck Repair from *** *** ***s club headquarters and is readily available upon request
The owner of Wissinger's Auto & Truck Repair was contacted by the driver after the member became belligerent with the driverAccording to Google Maps, the member's location from our facility is a minute driveSince the member's location was outside of our contracted service area a minute arrival time is not unreasonable
The member claimed in his statement the owner "became confrontational and engaged in name calling"The member was asked if he swore at the driver in which he stated that he hadThe owner never lost his composureThe member had made the statement when the owner arrived, "what are you going to do, make my day even worse?" Therefore, implying the member was under some type of previous distress from earlier in his day
The owner used his cellphone to take the previously mentioned pictures of the member's VolvoHe also used the same iPhone's flashlight while he was on sceneTherefore, the claim that he was approached in a "threatening manner with a large flashlight" is completely false
We hope this reply sheds some light onto the events which occurred that evening, if any further information is needed please do not hesitate to contact our facilityIn conclusion, we agree with the two *** clubs that are involved in this incident that no monetary loss has occurred to the member because his bumper cover was in serious need of replacement prior to his call for service
