Witty Teacup Yorkies

On February 23, 2020 I made a payment in the amount of $620.00 for a Mirco Yorkie Puppy. The person I was communicating with via [email protected] informed me that I would need to pay 500.00 for the puppy and an additional 120.00 for shipping. I made it known that I lived out of state that I would need the puppy to be shipped to me before even making the payment.

On February 23, 2020 I received an email saying that my payment was received an I needed to provide information regarding shipment (address, phone, etc).

I sent the business four different emails asking for updates, and I did not receive an response. I was told my email address was entered incorrectly and it was a mistake. I find this to be untrue because I've sent numerous emails regarding the puppy and those could have been responded to. Finally on March 3, 2020 I contacted someone using a phone number that was listed on the website. I spoke to someone saying that they would reach out to the "agency" and provide me with an update.

I was then told I would need to pay an additional 915.99 insurance fee in order to receive the puppy. I was sent an email from a gmail account requesting the 915.99 and then telling me that the money would be refunded to me if I sent it.

I was told that if I did not pay this fee I would be charged with animal neglect, after I requested a refund serval times.

The alleged owner of Witty Teacup Yorkies states on their website that they ship puppies. It is not listed that there is any type of insurance fee associated with this. The website states that the puppy is 500.00.

I sent an additional email (again no response) and followed up with text messages/calls with no response.
