Dear Sir / Madam: I am writing in response to an unsatisfied customer of mine whom I chose to no longer be associated with *** *** came to me in September regarding damage she found located on the shed and the west side of the residence. At the time she
informed me that she doesn’t ever go on that side of the house so she is uncertain when the damage occurred. I went to the property during my business hours and observed the damage that she spoke of. I know for certain that the damage to the shed was old damage prior to me taking over the business in October 2013. I remember the damage to the shed being there in the summer of 2013. As for the damage to the west side of the residence I cannot determine whether the damage was done by my employees or it is damage done by an unknown party. I have questioned my employees about the damage to the residence. They have informed me they are not responsible for it. I am going to believe my employees when they tell me this as they have on other occasions told me of damage to other properties. When this occurs I notify the homeowner or commercial contact about the damage and I rectify the situation within a reasonable time frame. I have multiple residential and commercial accounts I rely on my employees’ honesty and work ethic. These employees have been with me since I took over the business. They are the foundation of my business and I trust their word. *** *** was notified that the damage would not be covered. I informed her that I was not going to be responsible for damage done to the shed from 3-years prior. I also told her that the damage to the west side was not going to be covered as I could not be certain it was done by my employees. Also it would not be covered because she didn’t have a time frame when the damage occurred. At this time *** *** became increasing hostile to my employees. She also started to speak poorly of me and then my wife who is co-owner to my employees. At the time of termination, some of my employees refused to return to the property as they felt that she was very demeaning and prejudice towards them My decision to terminate *** *** was based on the treatment and safety of my employees. WNY Landscaping Inc.,   (the owner, John S[redacted] )insisted  that he  told me  personally that he would not be responsible for the broken siding to my home and shed.  This is simply not true an out and out lie.  He never came to me personally about anything. In fact he ignored all of my phone calls altogether. Actually, I never met the man. He  accused me of aggressive behavior & verbal threats to his employees. As stated before, his  own employee told me to stop paying my bills, and that would get his attention and then maybe he would at least look at the damage his company caused.  Its bad enough he has blatantly lied, but to scandalize my good name, by calling me aggressive and verbally threatening his employees, all because he just didn't want to fess up to what his people did to my property. How shameful, he would stoop that low. It would have cost him a very small amount of money to repair the damage.  He caused me much stress and anxiety with his allegations . I have never been treated like this before. He should be ashamed of himself.
