Review: Put down a $250 deposit on 4/21/12. Have not heard from or been able to contact breeder at all since then.

Put down a deposit of $250 to [redacted]. Their website has not been updated since January of 2013. Have tried calling and leaving messages, as well as emailing, since the end of May. Have gotten no responses. We no longer want to get a dog from them, as the time has been so long.Desired Settlement: Refund of $250 deposit.

I know that on the invoice it says a "$250 nonrefundable deposit", but I feel that because they have not made any update to their website since January, nor been contactable since then, that they have broken the contract as we put the deposit down for a dog and it doesn't seem that they are breeding anymore. Also, due to the lengthy time since we put the deposit down, and with no update from them, we went in a different direction with the breed of dog that we are going to get, because we couldn't wait any longer.

Review: $250 deposit made for Newfoundland puppy in Jul/12. Puppy to be available before mid 2013. No updates. No puppy. Unable to get response from breeder.

I made a $250 (USD) non-refundable deposit through PayPal on 17/Jul/12 to Wolf Creek Newfoundlands for a Newfoundland puppy. Prior to the deposit I had been in contact with [redacted] via email and phone. She portrayed herself as very friendly, knowledgeable, discerning about future homes for her puppies, and excited about her breeding program. It was indicated to me that there was a wait list for upcoming puppies (as is not unusual with pure-bred breeders), but she guaranteed a puppy would be available to me later 2012 or by mid 2013.

Since receiving my deposit, I have not received ANY communication from Wolf Creek Newfoundlands despite repeated attempts to contact them via e-mail and phone for an update. They have not updated their webiste since 08/Jan/13 which stated only that they had a software glitch and people may not have been able to contact them for the 90 days prior, but that it had been rectified - yet still no updates on puppies/puppy plans on the site. Attempts to contact them after this date also yielded no response.

The non-refundable deposit was payed with the understanding that the purpose of it was to ensure buyers are committed and puppies are not left owner-less at the last minute. However, given that Wolf Creek has not provided a puppy in the stated time frame, nor has made any indication that they plan to EVER do so, this contract should be voided and the deposit refunded.
