Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
This is [redacted]. I do live in Hawaii but I was in Wisconsin when I hired [redacted] and his company to reshingle our roof. I saw all firsthand and this is what occurred:  the house had a leak in one of the rooms and we got two estimates from two roofers who both said we should just spend the extra money and get it reshingled. We chose [redacted] because he was less cost. We very much regret this decision now. I met him in our driveway and signed a handwritten contract on Sept 1, 2016, I gave him a $3000 deposit. His men came on Tuesday 9/6/2016, and tore off all the old shingles and paper etc. Upon finishing the roof tear off, it started raining and they hurriedly put on the new paper during the rain and left for the day. They did NOT cover the roof with tarps. Tuesday night major leaking upstairs occurred in several locations during a storm including the ceiling tile of the north bathroom falling down into the bathtub. Our renters sent us video of water pouring down the walls above all 3 bedroom doorframes and then photos of the tile all broken in the bathtub.  Wednesday morning the roofing crew came back and tacked down the paper more and then left. They STILL did NOT cover the roof with tarps. I was at the house waiting to meet [redacted] to discuss the damage from the previous evening. He kept me waiting 4 hours. An hour prior to him getting to the house it started dumping rain and high winds. The ceiling in the living room, front porch, and upstairs several places began leaking substantially. [redacted] showed up during the storm and we both observed together all the leaking occurring inside the house. He went to the store to get towels to soak up leaks and plastic sheeting to cover the roof paper for the night. The next day, Thursday, the roofing crew came back and finished shingling. [redacted] said he could dry out the walls and repaint the damage. We were very concerned about what might happen 6 months down the road with wetness inside the walls so we called our lawyer. He stated we call our insurance company immediately which is what we did. The insurance company measured all the walls with a meter and found all the upstairs walls and ceiling were wet, and some of the lower level. They had no choice but to tear out all the walls, ceilings and wet insulation upstairs and the porch ceiling and living room wall to prevent mold from growing. We are now in month 5 of getting our house back to allow a new renter to move in. To correct [redacted]s statement: we lived in the home for 8 years and never had any leaking. We moved to Hawaii in Nov 2015 and rented the home Dec 1st, 2015.  The renter did patch the roof in one spot in July of 2016 because there was a leak in one lower room.A room that was an addition to the main house. The leak stopped but a new one in a new location of the same room started in August. This is when we decided to re-shingle. Our home was not leaking for "years" as [redacted] states but one month.  We have two statements from roofers, one being an inspector for the state of WI,which our insurance company hired, saying the roof was not done to code and there were many many errors. They both suggested tearing off the roof and starting over which is what we have had to do and have paid $10,000 to a new company. We DID provide [redacted] the findings from the hired inspector  and asked him to meet the insurance contractor at the house to go over all the errors that needed to be fixed. We provided all contact info to him and he never called or showed up to go over the errors. We waited for a month for him to contact Casey at Belfor company to meet him and then fix the roof but he never did. We had to go ahead and hire a new roofer, Big Fish Contracting, who tore off all the work done by [redacted] and his crew. The house was NOT going up for sale at that time as we were renting it to a family until July 2017.We are not scamming anyone and have had to spend so much more money in the end to fix a small leak. We have had to oust our renter, with 3 small children, who had to live in a hotel for 2 months before they ended up moving somewhere else, we had to hire a new roofer at more cost, we are still waiting to have a new renter move in as this is stretching into many many months of repair.  We have asked [redacted] to give us back the $3000 deposit plus some of the extra cost we have incurred with the water damage. We have not heard back from him at this date.

hi , jim [redacted] owner wolf exteriors here. I have had many conversations with this home owner. from his message you would not know that. I was aware of his issue which was a roof flashing issue. I did tell him when I was in area we would take a look and fix the roof if it was not to involved. this...

had nothing to do with our gutters, and per my word we did took care of his problem  on thursday2/9/17.

I have a contract for 8,850.00 dollars to reroof and repair drywall from previous leaks. we werer tearing off and got caught in a very unexpected storm. we got the roof covered with felt came back the next day and I talked with renters and there was very little rain that got in . mr. rebago made it...

sound like entire house was destoyed. I assured his wife and him we would take care of it.  I got a hold of my insurance company but he said he would handle it with his and would not let me back to take care of it. this house had numerous leaks prior to us . as my contract reflects fixing water damaged drywall.  then I wanted to meet with his inspectors  to go over there roof report. I have never seen the report and he would not let me talk with them. this is a rental property and they live in Hawaii and they would not give me there address. the roof did not leak when we were done. I wanted to take care of it with my insurance company and he would not let me. I have never been able to see what the damage was or what they did to repair interior. I have never seen a inspection report for roof or leaks.thank you, [redacted]
