Dear Revdex.com,I have spoken with my Manager ** at Canyon Inn Motel. He has notified me that he informed Rosemary G[redacted] upon checking in that he did not have a handicap room available for the length of her stay and that the room was occupied.The Motel itself is one of the original building on route 66...

and to build a handicap accessible room up to 2016 standard would require breaking down the entire building, which is not within financial means. As this is still an original building, the motel is only required to update one room with handicap accessibility to our best ability without breaking down the structure. While we do not have a wheel chair roll in shower equipped bathroom for any of our rooms, we have updated one of our rooms that we felt was best fit to handle any accessible updates with bathroom railings, accessible furniture, and fixture. We are currently working on fixing the ramp into the room.We do apologize for the inconvenience, but the structure and size of the rooms cannot be changed without breaking the entire building down.We did repave the parking lot within the last year, and because of this we have added in a handicap parking space up to code. When we are financially capable to restructure the building we will then add the appropriate up to date room for accessibility.Mrs. Rosemary G[redacted] was informed there was no accessible room available during her stay. She had the option of not staying and at any time during her stay she had the option of checking out and decided to stay on her own accord.
