I told him we will fix the leak and repair the sheet rock inside and paint. But we are the experts, and will fix the leak the way we know how. If this is ok then I will send my guys out ASAP. I have reviewed the response from the contractor and do not agree with what they have stated. As I said in my original complaint, the contractor sent a repair guy to my house on July 7, 2015. When the person showed up to my house he stated that in order to do the repairs the correct way, he would need additional shingles and flashing as per the person who showed up, the original roofers did not install the roof correctly and in order to repair it, he would have to remove some shingles, install the proper flashing and install new shingles in the area that is leaking. I said that was perfectly fine. He stated he would have to get with his boss to get approval and once that was done, he could come back out to complete the repairs. Here is the exact email I sent to the contractor on July 7. "Hello [redacted] : The roofer showed up at about 1:45 PM to repair the roof, however they did not come prepared with shingles nor flashing to do the proper repairs, so the repair to the roof was not completed. I wonder why after you stopped by my house over 30 days ago to see what shingles were needed, the guy would not have the shingles? He has left and advised he would need to speak to his boss about getting the shingles and flashing. He was going to use caulk to attempt to see any of the places and I advised that caulking was attempted before and did not resolve the issues and frankly it looked terrible, therefore I told him caulking was not going to be the solution this time. I have to say my patience is running very thin regarding this issue!!! Your company needs to come prepared to resolve this issue and get it done!! I have never been contacted by the contractor to schedule the repair of the roof the correct way and in accordance to what the last person who came to my house stated would be the "correct" method. All previous attempts (4), were not successful...so I ask who is the expert? As I have stated, I am more than happy for them to return to my house to repair the roof and agree with the method of repair the last person stated needed to be done, however the company has not returned to my house to repair it in that fashion.
