Woman's Boutique Consignments

Avoid consigning and purchasing. Unreliable and misleading consignment process. Owner has refused to pay me for items I consigned that sold.

Review: My mother died and I brought my mothers expensive, high end clothes to Women's Boutique Consignment to sell. After an hour of the owner not showing up for her appointment, she came, looked through my clothes , took 14 expensive items and claimed to consign them for me. This was Oct 19 th and she said each month I would receive a check for what sold, and get an invoice. I told her I did not want them donated and she said consignment would be over Jan19 th of which I could pick it up. But she also said, with witnesses around, that she would not just donate them that day. She would let me know before and keeps them way beyond date. Only if it was ages later she would have to donate. So on the first week of January I called to make sure and she said 4 items of 14 had sold and that if I could just call back after the 19 th about picking up the rest. Also check would go out at the end if January. I called January 19 th...no answer and left a message. No return call and five more calls and messages from that date with no returns. Each message said " do not donate". When I finally got through April 4th she said she had donated, 4 of my items against my wishes. She said 6 had so,d and we will see if I get a check for them or if it is even the right amount and she had kept 4 of which she was going to sell and keep the profits without me knowing as my time was up. She almost said I could not have the 4 items back as they were now hers and under $100 as she said I signed in a contract but when I proved to her that in her writing they were valued much more then $200 she said fine come get them. I have not gone yet so not sure if I will ever get those items back. Do not know if I will ever get the money owed and know I will not get the items she supposedly donated although I really question that. Sadly I researched and found out that she is a scam artist who worked for second chance consignment in [redacted] and reviews in her said she stole from them, cheated people out if money, stole furDesired Settlement: I wish for her business to be investigated. I don not believe I can get my items back if they were donated. Which is a big if. I would like my clothes back and will see if I can get them, I doubt. I would like the monetary value but doubt that as well. But more importantly the owner is scamming people and I really think this needs to be investigated and stopped. I can not bear the thought of her profiting from my mothers items. I believe her name to be ,[redacted].
