In response to your notice regarding the complaint from as referenced above, I hereby present the following facts as follows with regard to my services provided to her:1.July 22, 2015; complainant contracted with me (copy attached) to move her belongings to Tampa, Florida from Simi Valley, CaliforniaThis was to take place when she secured a residence there in FloridaAfter signing the agreement, I and my crew packed up her belongings (men total, including myself) in boxes, which I provided at no charge, then we moved her belongings into a storage facility in Simi Valley and then the complainant flew to Florida to obtain a residenceThe total cost of moving her belongings including furniture and vehicle was $I stored her vehicle in my personal carport for days at no charge to herAlso I took her to Los Angeles International Airport as a courtesy at no chargeShe returned to Simi Valley, about July 25, 2015, picked her up and brought her to my residence so she could pick up her vehicle (no charge)She informed me that she was not going to move to FloridaShe then took another trip for approximately daysUpon returning she told me that she had bought a residence in Las Vegas, Nevada and paid cash for a house thereImmediately upon the close of only a 3-day escrow, she insisted that we move her things immediatelyI had other business with my equipment and other moves in processSo I had to rent an additional truck to accommodate her wishesMy receipt for this is also attachedThe cost to me was $On August 19, 2015, went to her storage and repacked the truck and left for Las Vegas on August Upon arrival in Las Vegas you unloaded her items completelyAll boxes were placed in rooms and/or the garage as she instructedThen a problem occurred when she demanded that we unpack all the boxesOur policy as movers is never to unpack the boxes unless paid for such ServicesTypically movers do not unpack the person's belongingsThose items are personal and we do not know where the person(s) would want themShe also was expecting us to remove the trash she had collected or unpackedWe do not do thisThen we left her residence and returned to Simi Valley, CaliforniaThe complainant phoned me the next day saying that she was missing boxes of itemsNotablyshe had inspected the truck before we left and saw that it was empty with exception of the moving blankets and our dolliesWe went through our moving blankets and found one (1) lampI packaged this lamp up carefully and sent it to her at her new residence via priority mail – receipt attached.In conclusion, we strive to accommodate our customers with kindness, understanding, trust and faithful serviceIn this case, we went above and beyond our usual obligationWe provided extra services at no charge because the complainant was emotional about her moveThere were extra costs involved because of duplication of packing our equipment (loading, unloading, reloading and unloading) versus one complete pack and unpack as would have occurred with a usual moveIn addition because of the pressure to drop everything and bring her belongings to Las Vegas, caused the business to incur extra costs as I had to rent additional equipment to achieve this.The complainant has been harassing me at my home and causing disturbances there to the extreme where I had to call the Simi Valley Police DepartmentThey advised her to leave.It is my utmost desire to resolve this matter peacefully and fairlyI do not have any of her belongings nor would I want them for any reasonThis is not how I have been doing business helping people move for all the years that I haveThere have not been any problems with any of my other customers.Thank you for your consideration and for your assistance with this matter.Yours truly,G [redacted] Owner Affordable Moving -
