March 6, 2017Dear [redacted]I am writing in response to complaint [redacted]. We appreciate the courtesy that has been extended by The Revdex.com.We hosted our monthly Screenwriters Roundtable on the evening of Monday, February 27, 2017. It was an extremely successful event with nearly...

40 attendees where we viewed a filmed roundtable discussion of this year's Oscar-nominated screenwriters provided by The Hollywood Reporter and then discussed what they talked about with those in attendance. Given that it was held the day after the Oscar ceremony I don't know why [redacted] thought the screenwriters would or could be in attendance. [redacted] did not stay for more than 10 minutes of the program and did not speak to anyone on the way out. He did not complain and did not request a refund. The following day, we received a phone call from [redacted], who was disgruntled and belligerent towards the Membership/Programming Coordinator. When she tried to explain to him about the organization and that program, he yelled at her, "I'm a screenwriter, I know what I'm talking about. That was not a roundtable''. She apologized and was about to offer him a refund when he abruptly hung up the phone. To be clear, [redacted] never requested a refund from us before reporting us to The Revdex.com. We would have been more than happy to refund him. [redacted] called and spoke with me on March 1 to inform me that he had reported us to you. That was the first time he even mentioned expecting refund and one was processed for him immediately without holding processing fees as clearly outlined in our refund policy posted on all event registration pages. We value the input and feedback that our event attendants offer us. Most programs are planned in direct response to their program requests. Should we host another event featuring a taped roundtable, we will make it as clear as possible that this is a rebroadcast of a filmed event.Do not hesitate to call me with any questions. Please let me know that this issue has been resolved to your satisfaction.Melissa ** H.Executive Director
