(My initial visit was on 4/25) Just finally got insurance coverage and I went thereI wasn't showing up as eligible so they told me that I could pay out of pocket and that I would have to keep checking my insurance until it became eligible and they would retro-bill itI've worked in doctors offices for the last ten years and know that it takes less than two minutes to check the eligibility on my insurance so I thought that was a bit rudeAfter the first girl told me I didn't have insurance I was asked another four times if I had insuranceWhen I went in and seen the doctor I was in and out in ten minutesMy mother and grandmother both had/have ovarian cancerDr*** never addressed that with me, or anything elseShe pushed the gardasil vaccine (which is approximately per visit and it takes three visits)She wrote me a prescription for a birth control that costs $170.00, and even after I was covered by my insurance, the insurance company won't cover thatWhen I called the doctors office back they told me I need to find out what birth controls my insurance would coverI've never told a patient that, nor would I expect them to knowIn my office we would look it up for them, or work with the pharmacy to find out what is going to work bestI have never been so frustrated in my life and I will never go back there againUpdate on 5/8/14- They sent me a bill for an additional $that was not mentioned to me when I had stated several times that I did not have insuranceTheir total bill with office visit was $375.00, when I went to planned parenthood four years ago my total visit was $
