Dr. *** is double billing me and being dishonest by falsifying my records with regards to an additional office visit charge. She is stating that I inquired about a surgery during my routine annual exam, which is NOT TRUE.
I went into the Women's Center for my annual OBGYN appointment in June 13,2017, but walked out being charged for two office visits for the same day appointment. I questioned the additional office visit charge at checkout because I was told I owed a balance of $119. The billing lady told me the second office visit charge was for my inquiry and discussion on surgery with the doctor. This is FALSE!
Dr. *** diagnosed me with incontinence (not life threatening nor contagious) about 8 years ago and went over my options at that time, which I declined the surgery.
During my June 13,2017 visit, I did not bring up nor did I inquiry about this same surgery for my on-going incontinence issue. THIS IS FALSE! At the start of my appointment, the doctor asked me if I was having any problems. I said,"No new problems, I do still have the incontinence issue and I still DO NOT want the surgery!" That should have been the end of it! This doctor continued to harass and question me about WHY I still did not want to have the surgery, and even went as far as to get one of her staff to come into the room to give me her testimony. I did not ask for this nor was I interested in hearing her story. I made it perfectly clear, to the nurse at check-in and with the doctor that I still did not want the surgery! That should of been the end of this discussion! Then I get double billed for Dr. ***'s persistence on trying to SELL me on a surgery I made perfectly clear I still did NOT want! If our doctor asks us a question, before responding, should we ask them if there will be an additional charge first? I responded to the doctors questions and for that, I am getting doubled billed! This very UNPROFESSIONAL and UNETHICAL Billing Practices.
