Women's Healthcare Associates of Redding, a Medical Corporation

I went in to womens healthcare associates for an annual well visit covered by my insurance. I brought up some health concerns. Instead of billing me for a well visit which my insurance covers, I was billed for a regular visit and had to pay out of pocket. When I asked the billing dept why I was charged, I was told that since I brought up health issues and did not receive a papsmear, the insurance company does not consider it a well visit. AT the time,I was not told this was the office policy, nor did they inform me this was not considered a well visit and give me a choice to continue. What I made the appointment for was a well visit.
