Women's Imaging & Wellness Reviews (1)

This response is a start toward resolution by stating the status of the account as it has been for many months but needs to go farther. Moving the case forward requires proof of medical necessity that Solis can't produce yet hopes my OBGYN will have supporting records. According to my OBGYNs office neither the insurer (BCBS) or Women's health and Imaging (Solis) has requested any documents or charts. Therefore no proof of medical necessity will be coming, the claim won't be re-opened (ever). Its been 14 months since the mammographies. Further waiting isn't going to bring about a solution. Here is a possible solution. Tell me what documents are needed. I will go to my OBGYN and request, collect and distribute them to both Solis and BCBS. Proof of medical necessity for diagnostic mammographies should be easy. Proof supporting the 3D image may be harder if its classified experimental. The solution here is simple. It just requires effective communication. I am trying to help. Communicate with me and I can help.Another solution is to request the insurer re-contact the OBGYN. Bear in mind no request was ever received by the OBGYN. Double check contact info first. Get copies of the request or do the contacting yourself. A HIPPA release can be obtained. Continuing to wait will not resolve this case. Here is another solution. This effort is about a few hundred dollars. This is a minor bill. Solis has a contract with the insurer regarding pricing and documentation. If Solis can't produce the proof required by contract, the insurer has every right to close this case as a provider write off. This happened. Proof of this is in the Revdex.com supporting documentation. Solis should write this off and not balance bill the patient. Its unfair and unethical to hold open an account with no time limit and against contract obligations. You have multiple avenues to move this case toward resolution and I hope you will chose one. I have re-contacted the insurer, explained the situation again, and given them your personal contact information. No one has successfully reached the OBGYN. Lets work together to resolve this.
