On Feb 21st I was referred to this company for a warranty claim on a defective Whirlpool Hot Water HeaterI had a supplied RA number plus a Labor Refund reference number also in the amount of $
I advised the person I spoke with that the current Hot Water Heater was under warranty (only weeks old ) and was defectiveHe asked me where the unit was located and where I was calling fromI supplied him with the numbers above and advised him that I needed someone to come out and reconnect the Hot and cold water lines, and then connect the electric, inspect the unit and that would be itI informed him that this unit was inside the home, in a clear area with to work easily and I was going to return the defective unit myself and would have the new unit on hand once they arrivedThis person then advised me there was more to it than this so I kindly explained to him this was just a hookup, not a changeout that required much time at allHe immediately informed me the cost would be $When I took exception to such an outrageous cost he informed me "that's how it is" and basically left me with the impression their company doesn't care about the consumer, only how much they can upsell themSince my particular situation was an easy one, that they could not take advantage of they balked and made excusesPlease see my *** review for a more detailed explanation and their unbelievable responseThe person I spoke with seemed too try and make my situation out to be complicated when in essence all I was asking was to hook up water lines, wires and test the unit before they leftA minute job at best turned into $
