Mr [redacted] contacted Wonderful Windows on 7/3/regarding the issues he found once he was out of the hospital and able to inspect the job that was installed in January 2015.On July 11th Gene, our quality control manager went to Mr [redacted] home to address the issues that were found upon Mr [redacted] inspection of the job and scheduled for a crew to be there on July 25th.The 25th was the following weekend after Gene met with Mr [redacted] , our crew was unable to make it and we had to reschedule the repairs which is what caused the frustration and this complaint.Mr [redacted] demanded that this take place on a Saturday which had delayed us getting out there to fix this. The only reason this has been going on since January is due to Mr [redacted] health, the week we knew of the issues we had someone there to address them.I have since spoken to Mr [redacted] and have set up a date 8/15/to repair ALL issues and we assured him that they would be taken care of.We tried to have a crew there this weekend 8/8/however Mr [redacted] had to postpone it so we will be there to start repairs 8/15/15.Wonderful Windows has assured Mr [redacted] that all issues would be addressed and has apologized for reacting how he did.We stand behind our workmanship and warranty, we will go above and beyond to make this right.Mr [redacted] has been contacted again today to confirm everything.Jeff ***C.O.OWonderful Windows and Siding [redacted]

We did install *** *** windows on July 7th, We installed the windows to the *** windstorm codes that we were told to follow at that timeHowever, the codes that the *** inspector had us using apparently were not correctThat particular inspector is no longer

The date of July 2nd,
that Mrs*** has requested is one of the busiest times of the year
for any cruise lines booking for travel due to the Independencevere Day Holiday
We will get the tickets to her as soon as they are procuredIf there are any
alternate dates suitable to Mrs***, we will try our best
to accommodate them
The delays in her
window order started with them being a special order with wood
grain interior which isn't
common among our several other customers. The order also contained geometrically shaped windows
which also contributed to the lengthy delays
When MrL*** took
the order from Mrs***, no one knew that these special order windows
had an extended lead time of sixteen to twenty four weeksWhenever
ordering windows manufactured by our suppliers, there are several procedures
needed to try and ensure the accuracy of the order
Unfortunately,
several mistakes were made at the manufacturing
plant causing even more delaysDuring these numerous delays Mrs
*** was extremely demanding on us for something that was totally out of our
control.
The windows have now
been installed without any other issues than the warranty and cruise being
mentioned
MrL*** discounted
the job $1,due to the delays caused at the manufacturerHe also offered
her the free cruise and is still going to fulfill his offer, but as already
mentioned this hasn't been an easy process
Our offices are closed
today due to the severe flooding in the Greater Houston Area so all records are
not readily accessibleWe have also been informed the Revdex.com offices are closed
today as well
We
once again apologize for the delays and
any inconveniences this has caused Mrs*** and her family

I apologize for the delayed response to this issue as
deliveries and scheduling have been thrown out of whack due to the recent
holidaysI would also like to apologize to Mr*** as it seems he was
misinformed from the beginning about the length of time it would take to have
his windows and
patio door manufactured
Mr*** did call inquiring about his order on Tuesday
12/15/at which time we had not yet received the delivery manifest for that week’s
delivery so I explained to him that the order could possibly arrive this week
or next, but I just wasn't sure at that timeI did call Mr*** on
Wednesday 12/16/at approximately 3:PM, but couldn't get through nor leave
a voice messageI wanted to let him know that I had received the manifest and
his order was on it. I did make contact
with Mr*** as soon as his windows did arrive on Friday 12/18/and
scheduled the installation for the following Tuesday 12/22/
We would like to point out the fact that there is no
timeline indicated on our contract (attached) and we can only estimate when the
windows should be completed by the manufacturerWe don't manufacture the
windows, but we do sell and install them
Mr***'s windows were installed on Tuesday 12/22/with
one discrepancy over the bathroom window not having privacy glass which was not
on the contractEven though it wasn't on the contract, I have ordered Mr
***'s privacy glass which should be arriving around the third week of
January 2016, due to the annual Christmas and New Year holiday shutdown at the
manufacturer
We believe we have fulfilled our end of the contract to the
best of our ability and they were indeed installed before the end of the year
as he requestedI will be contacting him again as soon as the privacy glass
arrives to get his job totally completed, hopefully to his total satisfaction
We would like to apologize for any inconvenience this may
have caused himWe would also like to thank him for his business

There was a manufacuring delay in having Mr. [redacted]' window order delivered in a timely fashion due to the complitated nature in the configuring of windows to meet The [redacted] windstorm rules of compliance in the coastal areas. After many, many additions and...

alterations we were finally able to release the manufacturing of his windows to be [redacted] windstorm compliant. After the numerous delays there were still questions concerning the [redacted] mandates set forth by [redacted]. Even though these were not fully answered, I decided to go ahead and install Mr. [redacted]' windows on Friday August 14th, 2015 to avoid any further delays to his project that should have already been completed. I myself personally made that decision knowing the issue would be resolved in the very near future promising Mr. [redacted] that if the windows didn't pass that I would order all new windows that would pass. The following day, Saturday August 15th, 2015 I started a vacation and returned on Monday August 24th, 2015 with still no answer to the mulling issue. I immediately contacted the [redacted] appointed engineer & inquired what the hold up was as we had been working on this issue for quite some time now. I was finally informed on Tuesday August 25, 2015 that the windows would indeed meet the [redacted] windstorm requirements. For my unreturned calls to Mr. [redacted] I have no excuses just reasons. During the past few months Wonderful Windows has had to endure a large turnover in office staff due to a number of issues including but not limited to; my not being informed of messages and not being paged to pick up important calls such as Mr. [redacted]'. This since has slowly but surely been worked on to prevent these issues from arising again. For this I regretabally apoligize! The reason the windbore debris protection material wasn't delivered immediatley was because I wasn't sure if the windows would have to be resized or remade to satisfy the [redacted] requirements which would have rendered the plywood coverings totally usless. When I saw this complaint I immediatley went to work to resolve Mr. [redacted]' issues which have since been rectified. The timeline of the steps taken & compiled by Mr. [redacted] our [redacted] specialist to resolve the coverings & inspections issue follows;9/10/15 Received
a call from Mr. [redacted] stating that he had been trying to get a hold of [redacted] but had
gotten no return call.  Stated that the
window coverings had never been delivered and no windstorm inspector had ever
showed up.
9/11/15
Called the [redacted] appointed engineer to check on the inspection.
9/16/15 The Inspection was scheduled for 9/18, Friday.  Received a call from [redacted] along with email
stating inspection was rescheduled for Thursday 9/15. Plywood covers delivered on 9/18 and scheduled to
go cut and label the coverings.

9/17/15
Inspection was done with no issues.
9/18/15
Plywood delivered to home, cut, labeled and fasterners delivered.
9/22/15
Received copies of the WPI-1 & WPI-2 forms from [redacted].The copies of the final engineer signed and sealed [redacted] inspection report is attached showing that the proper paperwork showing compliance has been sent to the [redacted] to generate the issurance of the final WPI-8 that will appear online within 30-60 days.We would once agian like to reiterate our apoligizes for any inconvieiencies caused to Mr. [redacted] and his family.Mike [redacted]

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. The day I met with Roy J[redacted], he showed me a catalog with flush glazed doors that he said would go well with the [redacted] he was selling us.  I did  not come up with this door glass type as Mike M[redacted] is trying to imply. It was presented to me by Roy.When I arrived home the day the doors where installed and noticed the door glass was incorrect, the first person I called was Roy.  I told him the incorrect doors had been installed and I asked if he has specified the  flush glazed doors like he had shown me. Roy said that the flush glazed glass was specified in his projects notes and that the doors should have been ordered per his notes.  Roy then told me he would check the project folder when he got back to the office and verify that he specified flush glazed glass in his notes.  I passed along this information to Mike M[redacted], Gene, and John.  On March 3 2016,  Mike M[redacted] sent me an email apologizing for the door error and acknowledging that Roy J[redacted] did specify flush glazed glass for my doors.  I have attached this email for reference.  In this same email,  Mike M[redacted] provided two photos of flush glazed door panel he had found at two different manufactures.  These pictures are also attached for reference.  On March 7 2016, I received another email from Mike M[redacted].  Once more Mike M[redacted] acknowledges that Roy specified flush glaze glass for my doors and states that he did not see this until after the doors  were ordered.  I have attached this email for reference.  In this same email, Mike M[redacted] informed us that John would be coming to our home on March 8 2016 to address the windows that are not locking.   On the same day John provided us with a catalog of flush glazed door from a new manufacture that Wonderful windows would be using and proposed these doors to be installed in our home.  That same day, I approved these doors to be installed in our home.  I have attached a photo of this catalog for reference. With these emails there should be not doubt that Roy specified flush glaze doors and that Mike M[redacted] was aware of this.  With the photos I have attached proves Mike M[redacted] has access to provide my home with flush glaze doors. As for the large 89"X79 window in our breakfast room,  I was never told this window was being ordered through another manufacture.  After excuse after excuse and losing all confidence in Mike M[redacted] and his products I requested a window ordered list so that I could verify all windows that had be installed were the windows I had orders.  On March 7 2016 Mike M[redacted] sent me an email which had attached a [redacted] window warranty and a [redacted] window ordered list.  In this same email Mike M[redacted] states that all windows that have been installed in my home were in the [redacted] window order list.  This email contained to other manufacture window order list and Mike M[redacted] made no mention of any other manufacture being used for the windows that were installed.  When I reviewed the list,  the list contained only 16 windows and 17 windows had been installed.  I noticed that the large breakfast room window was not included in the [redacted] window order list.  The next day on March 8 2016 when John came to our home to lock at this window because it was not square I asked if the window specs where the same as all the other windows.  He said I would have to look at the ordering list to verify.  When I told John that this large window was not on the list, John produced another manufacturing order list which contained the large breakfast window.   This is when John informed me that the window was not provided by [redacted] as stayed in the contract.  Mike M[redacted]s claims this window has the same energy efficiency as all the other windows but on sunny days you cannot sit next to the window because the heat coming through the glass in unbearable.   I am requesting that Mike M[redacted] come and test this windows energy efficiency.  On John last visit he told me it can be done.  This way there is no question that this window matches the [redacted] windows energy efficiency.  As for payment as Mike M[redacted] noted in his response,  Wonderful Window standard payment method is half down and half when completed.  This project is far from complete.  The doors and doors panels that were installed are incomplete.  The installers did not finish caulking around the doors.  The bottoms of the doors are not sealed so we must place towels along the bottoms of the doors the keep the cold air from coming in on cold days.  The doors themselves don't seal or close correctly. What I propose to Mike M[redacted] is a full refunded of our down payment of $8950 so we can pursue a honest contractor who has the desire to provide their customers with quality service and products and will not quit the job until the job is complete and the customer is satisfied.  Regards,Lauro

We regretfully are
currently unable to complete the manufacturing and installation of the doors
and door panel mentioned by Mr. [redacted] as "flush glazed as per the
contract". We have looked high and low for the type of doors that Mr.
[redacted] has referred to as being on the contract, but have...

been unable to
locate any hinged doors to his liking. We have already
installed all the windows on Thursday 12/10/15 when all the door panels had yet
to arrive. The day we did this installation Mrs. [redacted] was home. When we
thought all the doors did arrive we did schedule the installation of them for
Thursday and Friday 1/7/16 & 1/8/16. This was scheduled with Mrs. [redacted]
prior to our arrival as we were able to gain access because other contractors
had been working on the upstairs of the home from the time we took the final
measurements of the windows required prior to ordering up until at least our
last day there which was 1/7/16. We were misinformed by the door manufacturer
about all the doors being completed leaving us with a couple doors short. When
Mr. [redacted] did arrive home that day was the first time anyone in the
production department ever heard anything about the type of glazing required
for the doors. If Mr. [redacted] did convey this to Mr. J[redacted] it somehow never
made it into writing. Unfortunately, Mr. J[redacted] is no longer with the company
so we can't determine exactly what was said during the quoting process prior to
the actual contract signing. A copy of the contract Mr. [redacted] signed and
Mr. J[redacted] turned in is attached. There is no mention as to the type of
glazing for the doors in the contract whatsoever. We apologize we cannot
deliver the type of doors that Mr. [redacted] is now requesting. The entire
window and door contract was for $17,900 with a down payment of $8,950 made at
the contract signing. No portion of the remaining $8950 balance has ever been
paid even after all the windows and some of the doors have already been
installed.We will come back and
fix the two windows with the operational problems if and when Mr. [redacted]
would like to do so. We don't know what Mr. [redacted] means by the "one
picture window" as per the contract. The very large picture window in the breakfast
area was way too large to be one [redacted] window so it was ordered from a
manufacturer that could indeed make it. We thought this had already been
conveyed to Mr. [redacted] prior to it being ordered. This very large window has
the same energy efficiency as all the other windows already installed in his
home. If he would like this window to be reset we will be able to do that as
well.What we would like to
propose to Mr. [redacted] as a settlement is to keep the remaining $8950 left
and pursue another contractor to provide him the doors he desires.
