Overcharged
I have recently paid for the "MobileTrans - WhatsApp Transfer" one year subscription, but I am surprised that I have been overcharged... The price in the website is US$29.99 but they charged me additionally US$51.55 in foreign exchange fee. They claim that one can view this in the shopping cart before placing the order, which is not true at all!
I requested a refund some minutes after the payment but so far Wondershare customer’s help refuse to grant me a refund!
Overcharged

Review: Purchased the data recovery software but never received the activation code to recover the data.

Ran the 2 hr data recovery software program. Was told of the files that were recoverable. Purchased the software to recover the lost files. No activation code was given to me so no files could be saved. Wasted 2 hrs and will now have to start over. Desired Settlement: Refund for purchase price

Review: Product not specified as trial, ruined document after purchase was made to prevent it, company refuses refund.

I downloaded thier product to edit a PDF for work, I wasn't aware it was a trial as the website I was directed to (http://www.wondershare.net/ad/pdf-editor/?gclid=[redacted]) has no mention of it being a trial. I made numerous edits to the document and hit save, at which point I found out it was a trial and that I needed to buy it to prevent the watermark, so I bought the software and clicked the register product button, input my information and found that it had already applied the watermark, in addition, when I tried to remove it, it tells me it can't find a watermark, and that it was done by Wondershare. Suffice to say that more than 3 hours of my time has been wasted on this document, and while I bought the item in good faith, that good faith was denied as the software watermarked my document any. Company offered other products as form or refund, which is unacceptable, they already cost me time and money with this product, I have no confidence in any of their products, all I want is my money back.Desired Settlement: I would like the company to return my $69.95 as their product did not work as advertised as it watermarked the document after I purchased it to prevent that.

Business

Response:

Thanks so much for taking the time to get in touch. We are sorry to hear about your experience with PDF Editor as it is one of our more popular products and generally satisfies most users. You mentioned “when I tried to remove it, it tells me it can't find a watermark”. Please note that in this instance, the watermark only refers to the watermark you add, not the Wondershare watermark created in the trial version. In your case, if you wish to remove the watermark from the document generated in the trial version, you need to register and edit the document one more time (like add text, bookmark, add notes, highlight, etc.) then click Save. This way the watermark will be removed automatically. We apologize for the confusion and inconvenience and we are looking to improve this in the next version.

We noted that you requested to be refunded for this purchase and we have already gone ahead and done that, you should have received the credit back on the card you used for the purchase back in December. See the screenshot for the record:

To help us improve our customer service, could you tell us how you attempted to contact Wondershare on this matter as we don't have any record of contact from our customer service team? We strive to answer all customers within 48 hours so we want to try and understand what went wrong in your case.

As your inquiry has been resolved, we kindly request that you contact the Revdex.com and let them know this matter has been resolved.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

They have credited back the charges and I am satisfied with the final outcome.

Sincerely,

Review: Wondershare has a large 'Moneyback Guarantee' on their website. When you click through to the pages of legal garbage...hardly anything qualifies.

Purchased 'MobilTrans' for Iphone. It DOES NOT WORK on videos. I asked for refund 5-6 times. Each time the 'customer service' person points out something I did wrong and says warranty does not apply. They have a history of doing this. I am owed $39.95 and I will get it back one way or another.Desired Settlement: $39.95 Amex credit

Review: I was charged twice for a product that I bought a few weeks ago from this company's website. I have tried on numerous occasions to come to a resolution and they are unwilling to cooperate and instead tell me that I'm incompetent. I have had it with this company and I will never use them again.Desired Settlement: I want to be refunded for the 2 extra charges to my credit card.

Response:

Dear Mr. [redacted],

We are sorry to hear about your experience. Upon receiving the notice from

Revdex.com, we immediately investigated your case.

We know from our service records that you have been in touch and we already confirmed that you were only charged once (attached is a screen shot).

You noted some duplicate charges. These explanations will clarify:

1.

Review: Product did not work as described. Money back guarantee was an outright lie, exchange only.

The product did not work as described. The site says 30 day money back gurantee. I requested a refund. I was offered an exchange. An exchange is not money back. False advertising at the least.Desired Settlement: I want my money back and they should be required to change 30 day money back guarantee to 30 day exchange guarantee on their website.

Review: Wondershare offered 100% guarantee. I can't even get through to them on the website.

Bot the download of "Dr Fon for IOS" from Wondershare to resolve an issue with recovering contacts on a 3GS iphone. The product would not work, and I tried to file for refund online. The site would not accept my efforts.Desired Settlement: Refund of purchase price thru Paypal

Business

Response:

After your correspondence with the Support Team in late December, we noted that you requested a refund in late December for this purchase and it has already been processed. You should have received the payment back to your paypal account you used for the purchase back in January. See the screenshot for the record:

As your inquiry has been resolved, we kindly request that you contact the Revdex.com and let them know this matter has been closed.

Review: They would not publish a non-favorable review of their product on their site. They seem to cull out the bad ones and leave the good ones.

I purchased WonderShare DVD Creator on 11/12/2012 (Ref#UXXXXXXXXXX). My wife and I used the software for a couple of months and experienced a large number of bugs and crashes. Finally, we engaged WonderShare support on 06/10/2013 (TIDXXXXXXX). After a number of requests, they more or less indicated that they could not solve our problem and suggested a free download of alternative software.

Since the software was buggy from the beginning, my wife and I wanted to review it on the Wondershare site, since they allowed customer reviews. We saw lots of favorable reviews, but no reviews indicating the types of problems we had. We posted what we thought to be a factual review (tried to avoid complaining, hyperbole, etc.) stating the problems we had with the software. However, it's been weeks and they seem to have omitted our review without giving any reason.

I am hard-pressed to believe that they receive only favorable reviews on the Wondershare-moderated OEM site, while they get mediocre to poor reviews on third-party sites. I would like to report a failure to post a poor review without any form of contact or indication as to why mine was removed. I have a great deal of suspicion that this practice is not isolated to my review alone due to the discrepancy between third party sites and the Wondershare site.Desired Settlement: I would like for them to provide indication as to why my review was removed, as well provide any moderation guidelines or policies they use to screen reviews.

If they chalk it up to a technical failure (which I completely expect - it gets them off the hook without having to explain or expose any such policies that may be in place), I would like for them to post my feedback on their site as a legitimate customer.

Case update 10/16/2013 - Wondershare has given Mr. [redacted] a full refund and is agreeing to post his review on the Wondershare.com product page for DVD Creator once he sends us his revised review to reflect that we refunded his money.

Review: On 9/3/13 I purchased a program that was to restore lost data on my phone, it didnt work. They have a 30 day $ back guaranty that they not honoring.

I purchased this program on 9/3/13, on 9/8/13 I requested a refund due to the program not working. I was not able to restore any data. I did a live chat via their website with an operator and requested a refund, she stated I needed to fill out the refund form online and then I would receive a refund. I filled out the form and was emailed back stating they couldn't give me a refund because they dont honor refunds. All over the site it states "All our products come with a 30-day Money Back Guarantee". I explained how the program did not work and was denied a refund. I paid $83.83 for a program that did not work. I would like a refund processed ASAP.Desired Settlement: I am only seeking the amount I paid $83.83

[redacted] did indeed contact Wondershare's customer service team requesting a refund, however, she refused to provide a reason for the refund. It is Wondershare's policy to refund a customer if the product is not working correctly or there is some issue we are unable to resolve however we don't generally refund if the customer simply changed their mind. No software company, Microsoft, Adobe, etc does this either.

In this situation, we did refund the customers money on September 13, 2013 after several non-productive email communications.

Final Consumer Response

(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)

When I originally requested the refund, I wrote in to the company explaining why I was dissatisifed and requested a refund. They refused stating not all companies will provide refunds, even if there product doesn't work. After 11 emails back and forth the company finally agreed to a refund on 9/13 after I stated I filed a complaint with the Revdex.com.

Review: On April 6th, 2013, I contacted Wondershare USA via their Twitter SUpport page with what should have been a simple question. Four days later, there isn't even an acknowledgement from Wondershare that they got my inquiry. I would like to know why I have been ignored by Wondershare support staff, as I am sure others have been on twitter as well since April 5th (the last day they made any tweets on their Twitter Support account). This kind of ignorance from a company that I paid money to for DVD Creator is just outright disrespectful and wrong, and I would like an explanation.Desired Settlement: I want an explanation from Wondershare as to why my twitter support question was ignored. I paid money for DVD Creator and to have good support for the product and this is the one and only time I've ever had to submit a Revdex.com complaint about Wondershare. The fact that they are ignoring myself and other twitter support customers is outright disgusting.
