Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because:Chris has not offered a reasonable resolution for the damages his company has caused during their services. I have only been holding him to all the claims he has been making since the time his workers showed up to do the work.
When his two movers showed up with nothing to move our things from our old apartment to the new one on the same property about 30 yards apart, I called him up to ask him about this. He said that the site I used, MovingHelp.com, doesn’t do a good job informing the customers about what is required of us and that we are supposed to provide all equipment (such as a moving hand truck, etc.) to do the move. Instead of having me get the proper equipment or rejecting the job, he said not to worry, that his guys will be able to take care of it, since most of the items we needed moved were in boxes and odds and ends, no large items.
When I contacted Chris the following morning, he told me that I would be compensated for the damages and to send him the info about what was damaged. I did so with photos, links to current comparable items and the a/c receipt, as seen in the attached file. He proceeded to tell me his insurance company would replace the a/c and were investigating all the other items I have sent him. I waited to hear from the insurance company until 10/10/16, when I started to ask for the contact info since they were not contacting me as Chris said they would. You can see his response on 10/10/16 that “I have been going back and forth with the insurance company…” Then he started to change his story about how he didn’t need to provide insurance information to me. Does “Won’t Stop Moving” have insurance or not, still remains to be in question. All I know is that Chris initially claimed he did and that I was going to be compensated for the damages his company has caused.
Chris wanted to negotiate a lower amount to compensate for all the damages. I gave him several lower amounts that were never low enough for him. He kept promising to pay if I was willing to take an agreeable amount. He never responded with any possible offers that he was willing to pay. Chris does not seem to understand how negotiating works, it takes two to tango.
After trying to work with him for over a month, I contacted MovingHelp.com on 10/25/16 to see if they could assist. I said I would take $500 to resolve everything, and Chris said he wouldn’t pay that much. During this phone conversation Chris promised to pay me $100 to cover the damaged dishes, shoe rack and office chair. Then we would work out the remaining amount for the cost of repairing the a/c. I called several repair shops the following day, to find out there are no licensed repair shops for the brand of a/c due to the cost of getting licensed. So the only reasonable resolution I could see was for Chris to replace the one year old a/c. On 11/13/16 he still claimed he had the money order for me and was going to send it the next morning. I am still waiting for this to arrive.
I contacted the Washington Utilities and Transportation Commission and my rental insurance company. Both people I spoke to encouraged me to try and work it out with Chris. In a case where property is damaged both said they would expect the company to restore the customer to their prior state. They both also advised that If Chris was not willing to work out a reasonable resolution for this issue, to follow up with the Revdex.com.
I am reasonably holding Chris to his word as he explained it to me. His insurance company wanted a receipt (which I sent him multiple times) and would replace the a/c. He also promised to send $100 to cover the other damages his men caused. He stated these in the emails, yet I have not received anything from him or his insurance company. Therefore Chis has not provided any reasonable resolution for the damage his company has caused and I reject his response.Sincerely,[redacted]

I am rejecting this response because: He skirted around the issue at hand and didn't address what his movers actually did. I dont want to be refunded for the move. I paid another moving company $280.00 to finish the mess his workers created and I want to br compensated for that. Furthemore Christopher N[redacted] already agreed to providig me a refund and is now not doing so, so he lied. It is not right. Legal action is not a threat, it's a gurantee at this point.
Sincerely,
[redacted]
