Not to mention the parking is horrible after 6pm and you have to park at the front office and walk up the hill to your home
Moving day was a DISASTER!!! I transferred from one unit here to another unit. Prior to transferring, former management had lost one of my rent checks and tried to charge me the late fees for it in addition to the rent. A pipe burst in my bathroom one night and woke me up (LOUD gushing water could be heard inside the wall in my shower - I had to close the bathroom and bedroom doors in order to muffle the sound). I called the emergency maintenance number to no avail. I had to leave a message, and my message was never returned. I called the apartment office when they opened the next morning - it was as if they were completely unaware. Later that day, maintenance was sent to my apartment, and he apologized for not responding sooner and commented on how much damage the water had done inside the wall. Raccoons consistently climb up and down an opening that is a result of poor repairs on the eaves/roof overhang. The raccoons make all kinds of racket in the attic. I reported this multiple times, and nothing was done to correct the problem. Gun shots are also heard periodically at night in addition to domestic disputes and loud activities late at night, despite the nice location.
The current manager, Katie, and assistant manager, Desiree, were notified thirty days prior to my desired transfer move-in date from one unit to another. This date was verified multiple times throughout those thirty days, both in person and over the phone. The day before moving day, Desiree called me informing me that the apartment was not going to be ready until that afternoon because the carpet still needed cleaning. I had already scheduled a moving company to arrive that morning as well as made arrangements for my washer and dryer to be delivered. Movers have to be contacted 4-6 weeks in advance for any changes. They were planning to arrive that morning to begin moving my belongings. Desiree and Katie assured me all that was still in need of completion, in preparation for the apartment, was housekeeping and carpet cleaning.
Once I explained my concerns about the move-in time, Desiree told me that the carpet cleaners would be there at 9:30 a.m. and be finished by 10:00 a.m. She assured me that I could move all of my belongings immediately after. The next day (moving day) arrived, and the movers showed up promptly; however, the housekeepers and carpet cleaners were still in the apartment. They did not finish until 10:45 a.m. Then, I was informed by Katie that my movers needed to place my furniture on foam pads because the carpet was still wet and would take three hours to dry. My movers had to place all of my boxes outside on the porch because we could not put anything on the carpet (entire apartment is carpet except for bathroom and kitchen). When we walked inside to complete the walk-thru, it was clear that NUMEROUS repairs still needed to be done. My bathroom was completely missing the faucet and shower head (holes were in the tile in place of them) - completely inoperable until repaired. It took MUCH longer than three hours for the carpet to dry. Housekeeping finished up hurriedly (it was evident they had not been given ample time to clean due to the frantic and surprised looks on their faces). They apparently were unaware that a tenant (me), movers, and the washer and dryer deliverymen were in the parking lot WAITING to move. All of this was AFTER I had promptly completed paperwork and submitted all required payments for move-in. I did EVERYTHING I could have possibly done to be compliant throughout the entire process. I was assured, by Katie, that any parts and materials that were needed would be ordered that day and fixed immediately. NOT TRUE!!! They tell you whatever they can think of to pacify you and get you off the phone or out of their office. Everything they have told me has either been contradictory or misleading. They act nice to your face but are completely unwilling to help, get things done, or follow through with the promises they have made. I am a VERY responsible tenant; however, apparently management does not care at all about retaining tenants. Desperately needed repairs and compensation of any kind have not been provided. DO NOT RENT FROM THIS PROPERTY!!!
