Wood & Wire Fence Reviews (%countItem)

I requested temporary fencing on the side of the house where I am building a garage. I was told that they did not offer temporary fencing and they would put in regular fencing material that was "movable". They put in regular fencing without cementing the pool that is not at all "removable." When I complained, they provided me with temporary fencing options but told me I had to pay for the fencing that they put in and the cost to change the fencing.
The installers also indicated that the measurement on the other side of the house was too long but they confirmed the company came out and confirmed it was correct. I have not measured myself but I don't know why the installers would state otherwise (they asked me to confirm it was ok not to extend into the neighbors yard) and the company has betrayed my trust, so I don't believe them. It's shocking to me that they have an A+ rating after my experience.

Mrs., Wood & Wire Fence Company has installed a removable chain-link style fence on the side of your house where you are planning to build a garage. Wood & Wire Fence Company did not cement those posts in the ground and therefor makes it a removable fence. You will be able to remove the posts simply by wiggling them and pulling them up out of the ground when you are ready to start your construction. It will require you to use a pair of pliers to loosen any nuts to disassemble the chain-link fabric that is attached to the posts which is no different than our pounded style temporary construction fence. The difference between the fence you received and the construction type pounded temporary fence that you were offered are that the fence that was installed at your house without cement can be removed during construction then can be reused after the construction and be permanently installed by cementing the posts into the ground. You were not only explained this but it is also in the contract that you signed authorizing the work. I do not understand how you can say that you weren’t offered this by your salesman ***? It is also in the brochure that you received along with your proposal to do the work at your house. We have tried to work with you and explain to you on many occasions that the panel and block type construction style temporary fence will not work for you because of the 8” to 12” gap that is under the fence from the concrete blocks would not be safe at all for your dog(s). It is not a solution to your problem and the current style that you have is not only the best solution but it is also the most cost effective one because you can reuse the product after the construction phase. We also tried to offer you an option to add gates into the fence line which would allow you easier access and you did not want to take on the additional investment which you were offered. We have tried to work with you on many occasions before, during, and after the process and every time you did not like what my sales staff had to say you simply created a reason to not work with them anymore. We are a company that prides itself on customer satisfaction and quality work and this saddens me to think that you are going through all of these motions to not pay the final balance that you clearly owe. There is no other option that would do the job any better or more cost effective than the existing product that you ordered and had us install. I’m so sorry for the confusion but you were explained this on many occasions. *** Wood & Wire Fence Co., Inc.

The options they provided after the fence was installed is a temporary fence. It was not made clear me that what was installed was not easily removed. I can not remove it myself, which is what I would have expected from a temporary fence.

Mrs., The only difference between the fence you have installed at your house and a pounded type of temporary fence is the fence at your house has a top rail. That would be the only additional piece that would have to be removed by simply unscrewing a few additional nuts and bolts over our standard pounded type temporary fence system. Any of our temporary fence options would require taking apart nuts and bolts, untwisting any fence ties, and removing posts from the ground. Our panel type system does not require posts to be taken out but has 80-pound blocks that would have to be moved and as discussed with you, this type of fence has an 8 to 10” gap under the fence where your pets could get hurt or even get out from under it. Aside from the nuts and bolts, your fence is covered in a black vinyl coating and has a smaller diamond size for the safety of your pets. This requires no additional work for you to remove over our standard pounded system. It is only aesthetically more pleasing to the eye. There is no other option. If you have an exact product in mind, please let me know but it seems as if we just keep going in circles trying to explain this to you. I’m sorry if you picked a product that you feel doesn’t suit your needs but ***, ***, and myself feel that there is no other product on the market that will do what you want done and remain a safe environment for your pet. Aside from the top rail that was installed, your fence is temporarily installed and if you would like us to go and remove the top rail we will. I believe *** has even offered to go himself to remove your fence when you are ready. Which is far beyond his call of duty as a sales representative for Wood & Wire Fence Company. We continuously try to help you understand that the product you have is the best product for your needs. I do not see how else we can help you. Wood and Wire Fence Company did exactly what we were contracted to do and I feel that our final payment is being held hostage because you simply just don’t want to pay the balance. You have not suggested any other product that would work better than what you already have installed. I’m sorry for the confusion but I feel that the final payment should be made. Thank you for your time on this matter and I look forward to addressing any other concerns that you may have. *** Wood & Wire Fence Co., Inc.

I do not understand why I was not not offered the same temporary fencing options that were provided after the fence was installed, when I asked REPEATEDLY for temporary fencing. Why were they not available in November but available in December? I agreed to what was installed because I was told it was temporary - it clearly is not what would be considered temporary fencing since I was provided with 3 options for actual temporary fencing after the fence was installed.
