Mr. Wood is probably a fine fellow. However, after coming to my Mother's house in Milford to undertake an estimate for a USDA Rural Development Grant, that was the last we ever saw or heard from Mr. Wood, who was recommended by the USDA for us to contact.
After receiving preliminary approval for the USDA grant, 2 months passed. When the USDA office called to ask if we had selected a contractor, I called Mr. Wood who informed me that he was no longer doing work for the USDA. He did not call us to inform us of that and has placed receipt of my Mother's grant in peril.
A simple phone call to us would have been kind and productive. Because of Mr. Wood's inaction, the critical repairs needed at my Mother's home will be delayed and may effect her receipt of the grant monies in a timely fashion. We are having to start the estimation process all over again.
Two months ago, Mr. Wood's parting statement to me was, "Unlike other contractors in Sussex County, you WILL hear back from me in a timely fashion!"
If NEVER is a timely fashion, I would be frightened to know what a long while would be.
