Recently I took my car to Woodards because my check engine light was on and I knew I could not pass inspection with the light onI have NEVER had any major problems with my car and it ran with no problemsWoodards told me I had codes that related to emmissions and one of with could be my catalytic convertor but they would not know that for sure until the other codes were clearedSo I agreed to have it fixed and the price came to a little over $They told me to drive it a few miles to reset the codes so when I picked it up and noticed the OIL light on I thought not much of it other then it was a little stangeAs soon as I left the parking lot I noticed my car was running a little sluggish but figured I would call them when I got to workWell half way to work my car stopped acelerating, starting making a loud knocking noise and the next thing I know I was stranded on the side of the roadSo I called them and told them what happened and they agreed to pick up my car with their wrecker truckThe next day they told me that my car was going to stop anyday now, it was nothing they did and something "broke" in my engineWHAT?? The guy told me that my car has been leaking oil and he could tell because there was oil all over the engine and he found it hard to believe that I did not have to put oil in my car every dayOkFirst of all I have NEVER had to put oil in my car other then when I take it for oil changes nor was it leaking on a daily basis so I did not appreciate being told thatThere is a cause and affect for everything and I find it hard to believe that whatever they did caused my car to stop workingI took my car to another mechanic who told me that the oil on my engine was from when someone took something apart causing oil to SPILL all over my engine, not a leakNeedless to say I am now without a vehecleI DROVE my car there and had it TOWED awayThey had no compassion *** me and would not even compensate me even a little for basically just giving them $I also later found out that others had had issuses wtih them and that they are not great mechanicsLesson learnedSave your frustation, time and money and find another trustworthy place to fix your car
