October 11, 2017To Whom It May Concern,Woodbine Church has been a place of hope and restoration for the Prince William County community for yearsThroughout the years the cemetery has provided a resting place for Northern Virginia residentsAs a courtesy to our families we offer memorials for a reasonable price, at a considerably lower cost, compared to local memorial companiesThe money collected from these memorials is used only to maintain the cemetery to create a lasting and well cared for place of rest for loved ones.The memorial in question was a special order stone that is only available to us from ChinaThese orders can take anywhere from 3-months to be completed The orders coming from China are shipped in a sea container, that must be filled completely before they can be sent outThis is why we explain to our customers that the process can take up to months for memorials to be completed.This certain type of memorial was placed on back order which delayed it's arrival past the allotted timeWe notified the family of this delay and they became highly upsetWe understand the frustration in wanting the memorial placed as soon as possibleWe have been making every effort to try and move the process along as quickly as it canThe manufacturer informed us that the memorial should be here by Mid November/ Early DecemberWe then relayed that information to the family.We know that the grieving process, especially of a child, is never easy and forever ongoingIt is our goal to always provide families with a place of rest and healing and this specific instance has reminded our staff just how important that goal isOf course upon the stone's arrival, we will immediately contact **& [redacted] so that they may be put at ease knowing their son's forever memorial is placedIf you have any further questions feel free to contact us.Senior Pastor RevGene W***Office Administrator Tiffanie W***

These orders can take anywhere from 3-6 months to be completed The orders coming from China are shipped in a sea container, that must be filled completely before they can be sent out. This is why we explain to our customers that the process can take up to 6 months for memorials to be completed.This certain type of memorial was placed on back order which delayed it's arrival past the normal allotted time. We notified the family of this delay and they became highly upset. We understand the frustration in wanting the memorial placed as soon as possible.
