August 12, Dear [redacted] ,The following is Woodbridge Plumbing, Inc.’s response to the complaint filed by [redacted] :"Woodbridge Plumbing, Inchas been providing top notch plumbing at affordable rates since During the past years we have accrued a list of extremely satisfied customers that totals in the thousands. On rare occasions we encounter a customer who does not feel they received the best service possible from Woodbridge Plumbing, IncWe greatly regret these situations and always attempt to work with the party in questionIn October 17, 2013, Woodbridge Plumbing reported to [redacted] 's [redacted] , VA residence to repair a leak on the water service line (the water pipe running between [redacted] 's house and the county's water pipe)A significant portion of the leaking water line ran under and along [redacted] 's driveway [redacted] was aware that the technicians were digging under the edge of the driveway (and repairs were made without cutting the driveway asphalt)Woodbridge Plumbing's technicians dug down to the water line and located and repaired a hole in the pipe approximately the size of a ballpoint pen headAfter repair was completed, the technicians put the dirt (and mud) back under the driveway edge as best as they could and spread seed and straw over the repaired areaOn October 24, 2013, Woodbridge Plumbing reported to [redacted] 's [redacted] , VA residence in response to a request from [redacted] regarding water running down her driveway (from the general area Woodbridge Plumbing had worked on October 17, 2013)The leaking water was creating a large void under the drivewayWoodbridge Plumbing's technicians' dug down to the water service line and immediately noted that the October 17, repair was not leakingA pinhole had developed approximately 1' from the hole repaired on October 17, The technicians repaired the most recent pinhole and turned on the water to test the repairWhen the water was turned back on, another hole in the line was discoveredThe technicians repaired this leak, turned on the water to test repair site, NOTE: The repair area was very muddy, The technicians then backfilled the repair area under the edge of the driveway with the wet dirt, and spread seed and straw over the repair access area At that time, Woodbridge Plumbing advised [redacted] that the water service fine between her house and the county water connection was very likely at the end of its useful life (and would very likely develop roore holes and leaks) and suggested that the entire water service line be replace, at the very least, the portion between the meter and the drivewayThe development of more pinholes on the aging service line and the resulting leaks erode away the dirtin and around the water service pipes-which are located under and alongside the drivewayThe lack of dirt under the driveway is very likely the reason the driveway is sinking and crackedOn April 18, 2014, Woodbridge Plumbing reported to [redacted] 's [redacted] residence to address her request to add dirt to the hole where Woodbridge Plumbing made several repairs to the water service line in October The technicians added dirt, tamped it down [redacted] did contact Woodbridge Plumbing again after April 18, regarding adding more dist under her sagging drivewayWoodbridge Plumbing advised that the asphalt would need to be cut to add more dirt (only so much dirt could be added without cutting into the asphalt driveway)Again, Woodbridge Plumbing highly suggested that the water service line at her residence be replaced (either in part or entirely)Again, we apologize to any customer who does not feel they received the best service possible from Woodbridge Plumbing, IncWe greatly regret these situations and always attempt to work with the þarty in question, Sincerely, Willie J President

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, you must give us a reason why you are rejecting the responseIf no reason is received your complaint will be closed Administratively Resolved] Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:The repairs made on October 17, 2013, was coordinated and paid for by my insurance company, *** [redacted] scheduled a contractor come to my home to locate and mark the problem area, prior to Woodbridge Plumbing, Inc, coming out to do the work When Woodbridge Plumbing, Inc, came out to complete the work they bypassed the spot the [redacted] contractor marked, located on drive way and in turn dug under the asphalt Due to Woodbridge Plumbing, Inc., digging in the wrong location my driveway is now sinking in I contacted the company on October 24, 2013, and explained to the dispatcher my concerns and the problems we were experiencing They assured me someone would be out to look at the problem, but I was never given an appointment date When I returned home that evening, there was evidence that Woodbridge Plumbing, Inc, had returned to my home that day, because there was straw surrounding the problem area A few weeks later I received a bill in the mail from Woodbridge Plumbing, Inc The company was charging me for additional work that I was not unaware of, never approved, and also was not part of the previous work my insurance company paid for My husband and I have both taken pictures of our driveway, and we are in no way happy with the outcome We are 100% not satisfied with the work done or the lack of unprofessionalism we have experienced from Woodbridge Plumbing, Inc One of the last conversations I had with a manager at the company was they would be willing to “work a deal out” I am still clueless as to what this “deal” would consist of! I even had to take extra precaution to cover the hole, preventing anyone from stepping in the hole and injuring themselves Regards, [redacted]
