I would like to say that in my case, I don’t believe my rebate was submitted in a timely manner as the response claimed. The work was done on July 6, 2016 and I signed a paper and was told that the company would handle the paperwork and I would be receiving a rebate check from SRP.  When no check arrived after a month, I called SRP to inquire about it on August 6, 2016.  SRP told me they had no record of my Aeroseal rebate application.  I immediately called Aeroseal to let them know I was just told by SRP that they had not received my rebate paperwork.  Aeroseal told me that SRP did in fact have my paperwork and that it takes 6-8 weeks to receive my check.  Being that I had been told two different stories, I again called SRP and they told me again that they did not have the paperwork.  Within an hour I received a call  from SRP saying that they had just received my application for a rebate and they wanted to check a couple small details such as my name being Catherine or Kate and one other question.  Clearly after my call to Aeroseal, they hurriedly turned in my paperwork.  While I had SRP on the phone, I asked them how soon I could expect to receive my rebate check.  SRP told me within 2 weeks.  So does that mean that it takes Aeroseal 4-6 weeks to turn in my paperwork to SRP?  If so that would be very poor service in my opinion. I called Aeroseal back to report what I had been told, and to see if they had an explanation for what had transpired, leaving a message with my name and phone number.  I did not receive a call back.  Poor service again.  Why did I not get a callback?  Caught red handed? Needless to say at this point my trust in the company Aeroseal was damaged and I started to wonder if I had received the services for which I paid.  I felt I had been lied to over the rebate issue, and so I wondered if I had been lied to over the service itself as well.  How do I know what they did to my vents? I called the head office of Aeroseal and spoke to the area manager about my concerns. I also contacted Revdex.com to report the fact that I believe mis-statements had been made to me by this company regarding the issue of the SRP rebate which is cause enough for complaint.  I never requested any monetary compensation as that was not and still is not the issue that I complained about. I also was not told on the install day that the rebate would take 6-8 weeks.  Since the lady I spoke to at Aeroseal was not in attendance when the technicians did the work on my vents, I am at a loss to know how she could possibly know what the technicians said to me?  All they said was that their company would handle the paperwork and I would be receiving a check from SRP, and that there was nothing for me to do except sign tha form.  No time frame was given to me.  That’s why after a month had gone by, I called SRP, because I thought that surely by now I should have received the rebate check.  If I had been told 6-8 weeks, I would not have called SRP after a month.  The price I paid for the services is not in dispute.  It is irrelevant to my complaint.  My complaint is that mis-statements were made to me which ruined my trust in the company and I would not want other customers to hire a company in good faith and then not be able to trust information given to them by this company.  Trust is everything in business.  Being in business myself for 28 years I know this only too well and perhaps that is why I am so sensitive about honesty when dealing with my clients and when dealing with other companies.  Another mis-statement in the response is that I had already received the $400 rebate check before making this complaint!  I made the complaint immediately this happened!  So there would be no reason or motivation to go to all that trouble if I had already received the rebate.  I would have nothing to complain about! I spoke to SRP on August 6th.  SRP received my rebate application from the company on the same day.  The rebate check stub I have in my possession shows it was processed 2 days later on August 8th.  I presume shortly thereafter they mailed it to me and my check book shows I deposited it on August 15th.  Not sure what date I made the initial complaint, but probably it was August 6th or 7th – right when this happened.  I would not have needed to make the complaint as mentioned above, if I had already received the rebate.  I would have no reason or motivation to do so.  It doesn’t matter to me if I had of been told the rebate check would take 4, 6 or 8 weeks to receive it.  The fact that I was lied to is what I am objecting to.  And again it continues in the response from Aeroseal with them making points that have absolutely no merit, rhyme or reason to them, and are flat out lies.  I’m amazed! An apology would be nice instead of angrily making more mis-statements, being defensive and throwing out red herrings about things that were not mentioned in my complaint.     My complaint is that I was lied to.  I never expected or stated that I wanted the rebate check on the day of the installation!  I knew and was told I would be receiving a check from SRP and I assumed it would take some time.  I did not know how long and that is why I called SRP to find out where my check was after a month had gone by.  I am not trying to get “something for nothing”.  I have not requested anything.  I just want the public to know that I believe I was lied to as explained in my initial complaint and gone over again in this response.  I do not know if this company does good work or not.  I did not hear back from the area manager from the Aeroseal head office or from the company I dealt with here locally, other than through the Revdex.com.  I had asked the area manager if he could send someone to my place to check the work after they lied to me about the rebate paperwork because it caused me to doubt their integrity as a company.  But he did not offer to help me with that. It may well be that they do good work, I have no way of knowing, but no matter how good their work is, if someone in the office tells me fibs then it obviously will cast a shadow on the whole company.  Business 101. [redacted]

The Customer has received their rebate.  We have no issues with this Customer.

All of our customers’ rebates are submitted in a timely manner, as was this customer’s rebate.  The utility company...

paperwork states “Please allow 6-8 weeks for rebate processing.”  This has always been the case, and many times customers do get their rebates within just a few weeks.  This customer was told on the install day that the rebate would take 6-8 weeks.  This allows ample time for our company to be able to process and submit the paperwork, as well as for the utility company to receive and process the paperwork on their end. She opted to purchase two services: Duct Cleaning and Aeroseal.  Her complaint implies that she was charged $1,200 for Aeroseal alone, which is not the case.  She also received an excessively generous discount for being a realtor, which is not given lightly. This customer submitted a complaint, yet she had already received her $400 rebate check PRIOR TO submitting this complaint. Without knowing exact dates, it is safe to say that it only took 4-6 weeks for her to receive her rebate.  This is well within the standard rebate timeframe that is allotted. This customer is seeking to receive something for nothing by submitting this complaint AFTER having received her $400 rebate check.  The rebate check is not missing.  The rebate check was cut and mailed to the customer.  The customer admitted to having received her rebate check.  The rebate check in question is either in her possession, or has been cashed.  Both installation processes were completed properly according to all protocols, standards and requirements.  We do good work.  We stand by our work, and just because rebate money was not magically or instantaneously in her hand on the install day, does not mean that any of our good work was subpar, nor that our integrity and honesty should be put into question.
