I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my dispute
Please enter your reason(s) for rejecting the business response below.Sorry, but your response is objectionable, full of passing the buck and also you lie when you say that the company that did the damage is working anything out with me, they refuseAccording to Texas State Law, the landlord IS responsible for ANYTHING a hired contractor does on their propertyIf you have someone do damage then you can sue them, but you are still ultimately responsible. The following is a response from my attorney, so unless you know the law better that a board certified attorney, which I am sure you do not, then you are wrong and liable
First, your property damage auto insurance (if you have this comprehensive coverage) is to protect you for your negligence, not theirsIf your insurance company did pay out regarding this damage, it would be seeking subrogation (reimbursement) from the landlordSecond, even if you did have such coverage, you would still be obligated for your deductible for which you could sue the landlordMake a demand with appropriate supporting documentation which includes an estimate to repair the damageIf they do not respond, then file a small claim lawsuit, naming the landlord, the property management company AND the awning companyMake sure that you are parking in the proper designated parking areasHaving other witnesses from the complex would help you as well.I do have witnesses, my Mom was riding with me, and there are others whose cars were damaged as well

Of course this does not resolve anything. I did complain of damage, and even if it was a third party then the owners that hired said contractors are responsible. When did everyone start passing the buck and not taking responsibility for action? How can they say that no one was at fault, when all I did was park to go into the post office? Am I to assume that if someone damages my property that it is my fault because I had a package to mail? I tried several avenues to resolve this and the only response I get is "its not our fault".  Of course this is a unacceptable response.
