Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/03/27) */
We have had several conversations regarding this issue with the consumerThe consumer did come to us with a pre-approval check from *** *** but it had many conditions to meetThe original vehicle that the consumer inquired about
had over 100k miles and was listed at the lower priceUnfortunately, in reading the parameters of the check that vehicle would not qualify for a loan through *** *** pre approval programWith the consumer being from out of state, we offered to secure financing on that vehicleConcerns of the interest rate arose and the consumer ended up choosing a vehicle with closer to 100k milesThis vehicle was priced higher and payments that reflect that were disclosed
When the consumer contacted Woodfield Lexus stating that she had seen the vehicle listed for less, we offered to honor pricing that she could provide to usThe consumer could not furnish proof of a lower advertised priceWe have had open dialogue with the consumer and have been willing to assist her with this concernWe are still willing to honor a lower price should the consumer provide the documentation requested
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2015/04/05) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
We have not had several conversations about the pricing issueI was told that you would check with the web master to see if you could find where I saw $13,I was told I would hear back from WoodfieldThis never happenedI was not asked to provide anything showing the pricing was $13,As stated before we looked at two vehicle in the $13,range because of the payment amount we asked forYou never checked with *** *** about the vehicleYou immediately went your own routeBefore I went in to sign papers on the vehicle it had been pulled from the website which leads me to believe you have control of altering things immediately and a webmaster does not need to be involvedYou also pulled my credit with multiple places when you were asked not toI would like a refund because of your un-ethical practices
Final Business Response /* (4000, 11, 2015/04/20) */
Woodfield Lexus has had several conversations with the customer in regards to the pricing of the vehicleWe have researched the vehicles pricing on our end and can find no indication of the pricing being lower than the $14,charged to the customerWe have, however, agreed to honor the pricing that the customer states was advertised with written documentation printed prior to the saleThe sale price was NOT presented as $13,on this vehicleThe paperwork was offered for review in finance prior to the signatures, listing the sale price as $14,The consumer again in finance agreed to the purchase parameters and signed the appropriate documentation
As for the financing, the customer came to us with a draft checkThis check has parameters and is not a guarantee of fundsThe vehicle the customer was attempting to purchase was outside of the parameters based on the mileageWoodfield Lexus then offered to secure financing for the customer so she did not have to return home to do soAs rate was a concern, we did look into finance sources to get her the best possible rate and attain as close to the payment desiredNo banks were contacted until the consumer gave consent
Final Consumer Response /* (4200, 13, 2015/04/30) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
we did not come with a draft check just a pre approval and stated we did not want my credit pulled by multiple loan establishments which is why we brought our own pre approval I was never asked if they could pull my credit to get an approval elsewhereI did not know they had done so until they presented their offer to me because they said my loaner did not approve the sale which they have no proof ofthe add was on their website and clearly was listed for $I feel this is unethical sales tactics and will be reporting it to my local news station as a fraud alert to other consumers

Please read if you plan on purchasing a used vehicle from Woodfield LexusMy husband and I have experienced nothing short of a nightmare since purchasing a used Honda Civic from there When I asked if there was an inspection report we could see or if there were problems we should be aware of, the salesman, Eugene, stated that Woodfield Lexus runs a multi-point inspection on all used vehicles, and that if this car had any problems, it would not be on their lotOnly days after owning the car, it breaks downWe purchased the extended warranty, which is provided through Lexus, even though the car is a HondaI spent hours calling the main Lexus Warranty office only to receive conflicting answers from the main Honda Warranty officeWhen I tried calling Woodfield Lexus to help me navigate the situation, I was met with unreturned phone calls from Caryn, the finance directorI finally figured it out and took the car to a Honda dealership to figure out what was wrong with the carWe ended up spending over $in repairs that required “immediate attention,” including a dead battery, all of which were not covered by the extended warrantyMany more calls later and Rob, the pre-owned sales manager, finally gives me a call, only to lecture me about buying an “off brand” car from a Lexus dealershipHe tells me that Woodfield Lexus only has the technology to run basic safety inspections on their “off brand” carsThis of course, is a different story from what the salesman, Eugene, told meEssentially, Rob tells me that this is the gamble you take with buying a used car and admits no responsibilityTo some extent I understand this, but I don’t believe that one should have to shell out over $in repairs after owning the car for daysThe kicker is that Rob tells me if he had known about that situation, he would have replaced the battery for freeNevermind that I made several unreturned calls to Woodfield Lexus during the whole ordeal, so I’m not sure how I could have made a better attempt to communicate with them, but oh wellMoral of the story, proceed with extreme caution when purchasing a used, or, as they like to call it, an “off brand” vehicle from Woodfield LexusYou could end up with hundreds of dollars of expenses

Lexus issued this customer a $400.00 service credit. The locksmith had recoded the new ignition incorrectly. We apologized about the inconvenience and we paid for the cost of the tow on the second service visit. The second repair was...

covered under parts warranty. We will not be reimbursing the customer for the original repair.

We have been trying to contact Ms. [redacted] to let her know that we are willing to install the cd changer but she has not returned our calls. If she would like the work done please have her contact [redacted] at XXX-XXX-XXXX and he will...

make the arraingements.

We purchased an used [redacted] there. It was late at night already after closing. First, they do not negotiate prices! There price was about $1500 more than the [redacted] value. Then it came the long wait for the financing. It was already 10pm. She rushed everything without explaining,so we sign because we felt rushed especially with an over tired toddler passed his sleep time. After coming home we realized that a 17K car (sticker price) is ending costing us $23,400!!!!! For $50 a month more you can get a new one not a 2009. I send an email about canceling that purchase but all we got is call telling us that if we are not happy than to bad, we can trade it in. Nice way of them making even more money of us. Other dealers in Chicagoland offer 72 hours on their old cars to change your mind. Other dealers work with you to make you happy. Lexus is there for your money only. In previous years I purchased a [redacted] and [redacted] and all those dealerships far exceed in customer service. I never felt rushed or cheated before. Everything was always explained and I was never rushed out the door. Stay away, there are better places to shop
