I have used this dealership several times and have always been treated fairly and with respect. I like that it is not like the typical high pressure show room that makes you uncomfortable from the time you drive on the lot.

I brought my truck into Riverside Ford on Monday 12/28/15 because the Parking Brake light kept coming on while I was driving and the driver side back tire started smoking at the same time. I told the Service Rep that I dropped the truck off with, [redacted], to fix whatever was wrong with it. I picked it up on Tuesday 12/29/15 and paid them almost 1300 dollars. When I picked my truck up, the Service Engine light was on, and it was NOT on when I dropped the truck off to them. Someone hooked a computer up and decided that it was on because the mechanic, [redacted], "forgot to plug something back in under the hood when he replaced a belt".

On Thursday 12/31/14 the Parking Brake light came on again while I was on the way home from work. I carried the truck back on Monday 1/4/16, and told [redacted] that the Parking Brake light was still blinking while I was driving down the road. I also specifically told him that I DID NOT want the mechanic who did the initial work, [redacted], doing the work again because it seemed to me that he either did not know what the problem was, how to fix it, or both. I received a call from [redacted] about mid-day on Monday 1/4/16 and was told that the problem was in the Master Cylinder, and that they wanted another 500 dollars to fix the problem. I told him that was not acceptable and that I wanted to talk to his supervisor. He then told me that his supervisor, [redacted] had agreed to knock 10%; 50 dollars off the cost. I told him that still was not acceptable and that I would come down there to talk to his supervisor myself. When I got there [redacted] then told me he would only charge me the 216 dollars that the part cost and would waive the labor cost. I agreed to that, and told them to fix it. I did not hear anything from them on Tuesday 1/5/16, so I called about 8 am Wednesday morning to ask if my truck was ready to pick up. [redacted] then told me that her was going to check and would call me right back. Well, by 10 am I had not heard from him, so I called him again, and he said that my truck should be ready by 5 pm on Wednesday 1/6/16.
When he called me on Wednesday he told me that they had replaced the Master Cylinder, but that it did not fix the problem. He then said he was going to have his best mechanic, [redacted], look at it first thing Thursday morning. He also said that he and [redacted] were just "going to let me have the Master Cylinder and the labor to put it on for free." (Well, DUH, who is going to pay them 500 dollars for a new part when there was nothing wrong with the old one!!!) I did not hear anything Thursday morning, so I stopped by about noon, and was told that [redacted] had it out on a test drive, and that he would let me know something as soon as [redacted] got back and told him what was wrong. I then asked the Service Rep [redacted] who replaced the Master Cylinder, and he said that the initial mechanic, [redacted] had done it. Well, I stopped back by again at 3 pm because I had not heard anything yet, and talked to the mechanic [redacted] myself. He said that he thought that he had the issue resolved, and that something was loose and/or bent, and nothing had to be replaced.
The Service Rep, [redacted], told me that it was going to be a "cheap fix" this time. Well, I told him that you can't get much cheaper than free, and that I had already decided that I was not going to pay them anything, especially since the mechanic [redacted] had already told me that he did not have to replace anything. He then went and got his supervisor, [redacted] said that he was not going to charge anything for the Master Cylinder work, but that I owed 150 dollars for Thursday's work.

Well, I told him that I did not intend to pay either of them anything for the following reasons:
1. I had already paid them 1300 dollars the previous week to fix the issues that I brought the truck to them about, and all of the problems were not fixed,
2. I SPECIFICALLY told the Service Rep [redacted] that I DID NOT want [redacted] working on my truck anymore, and not only did they let him do it, but he replaced a Master Cylinder (500 dollars worth of work according to [redacted]) that did not need replacing. (I bet the next time a customer asks them to use a different mechanic the second go round they will listen)
3. They had my truck almost the whole week, and that I have had to miss work as a result of it
4. There was still NO guarantee that the problem was resolved, not to mention the fact that nothing was actually replaced the third time the truck was worked on

Well, [redacted] then proposed that we call it even, and that if the problem happened again that I not return the truck to them. I said that I could live with that. Well, I did not even make it home before the Parking Brake light was coming on and going off again! So with that being said, I have a hard time understanding how I could owe 150 dollars for work on 1/7/16 when the issue was not fixed. They worked on it not once, not twice, but THREE times and STILL were unable to fix the issue, and also seemed to t
