Woodings Auto Body Reviews (2)

Review: My husband took his company van to Wooding Brothers as that is who our insurance company recommended for us to take it to. My insurance company paid for a new door to be put on the vehicle... as per the estimate a new door was priced and paid for via [redacted] and our deductible out of pocket was paid. My husband noticed that a spot started coming out on the door so I called they advised that we had a warranty on their work they advised to bring it back in and we did so when he slowed down they kept it for 4 days and did not even call to advise that it was ready... I called on Friday am to see how much longer they would need to keep it and the owner stated it is ready to be picked up... they were going to repaint where there was bubbles in the paint and fix the door correctly as we were supposed to the first time. We went to pick it up and they had not touched it... the work that they charged the insurance company for was not completed.. we have a written statement from another body shop that the door has body filler in it and that was not what was quoted and paid for!Desired Settlement: For people to know that they do not perform the work they have been paid to do! For wooding brothers to be honest people and put the new door that was paid for on the van and fix it the way it was supposed to be fixed the first time... and by the way I do have pictures of the work performed the first time and when we got the van back the second time

Response:

We got the customers vehicle in to fix the "paint issue" on the bottom of the van side panel, and look into the door "filler/repair" issue, our company did address and fix the "paint issue" on the side panel (which was due to the factory stone guard at bottom, we only re-applied the our stone guard on top of original at the time of repairs). Upon customer bringing the vehicle in to have these issues fixed, we found the door "filler issue" was/is due to having been hit/contacted by something and the workmanship/paint warranty does not cover something contacting/damaging the panels. The insurance company was also contacted by the customer and I spoke to the file handler with insurance company also; I came to the decision that we did not owe to repaint the door due to dents being the "new" problem. The original repair estimate was listed for the door replacement with a LKQ/used door, repairs may have been needed to the LKQ/used door, but the "issue" the customer is having is not due to that repair to the LKQ/used door, therefore is not under warranty.

Response:

There was not any new damage to the vehicle and we have not had the vehicle at any other shop for repair besides the work that was done there at wooding Bros and the damage that is visible on the vehicle is due to the body filler that was used at their time of repair... also they used the same door that had damage already to that was on the van they did not put anything different on the vehicle thus the insurance company paid for to be done.... I called this to the owners attention at the time of pick up and if he repainted the second time like he was supposed to then why did the van have the same dirt on the bottom that was there when we left it for 4 days? He did nothing to fix what they messed up the first time. They say there is a warranty on repairs made on your vehicle but they do not stand behind their workmanship and it is ok to lie about the repair that is made to your vehicle and then comment back there is no warranty? I do believe that it is in the paperwork that they give that there is warranty on their repairs made?Regards,

Response:

I have attached a copy of the [redacted] signed pay form, a copy of the invoice of the LKQ/used door and the front of the customer folder. The door was replaced at the time of original repairs on this claim. This shop is also on the verge of feeling that the customer is slandering us. I spoke to [redacted] @ [redacted] regarding the "issues" and he also agrees that stating this business did or created insurance fraud is in fact slander. We do not wish to have any further dealing with this customer due to this wrong doing statements.Thank you [redacted] Manager

I have reviewed the response offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

Regards,

Review: OVER $6,000 was spent at Woodings to repair a demented city trash truck, not giving a [redacted], backed up at a intersection(STOPLIGHT), where they had no business backing up, Severly damaging a small famly car. The issue with Woodings is a safety problem and respect toward their custumer. The paint job was about average, though passable, though I do not understand not completly bolting the hood to the hinges, which then caused damage to the washer wiper receptical container, caused by the vibration of the hood, was rebolted by the wonderment employees at [redacted], when completing other services. This and a lack of genuine respect for a customer is the complaint.Desired Settlement: To replace the purchase price of [redacted],($76.09), still have receipt from [redacted], I also still have all the receipts from Woodings. Also for Woodings to admit they have a responsibility for the work they are paid to complete,(sometype of warranty) since me as a custumer was told, I have no warranty, at all, days after paying for their services.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and why is there is a need for me to reexplain the prizm hood was not properly bolted to the hinges, and [redacted] employees repairing the bolt that connects the hood to the hinge, after they found the damaged wiper receptical, that was damaged by the hood vibrating, this is all stated with the original complant, and it was also stated in the original complaint that this was caused from poor customer service, and a lack of genuine respect towards their customer, and their customer's time. With me spending more than $5,000 on a vehicle that is probably only worth with the blue-book value of $2,500.00, does show there are somethings in life that are worth more than money, and it is called a PRINCIPLE., a truth in what has happened. What was not in the original complaint is the description of the bolt, and the nut that was only screwed on half way, frozen, and would not screw on or off the bolt, by it's self, hence the vibration of the hood, damaging wiper receptcal container. The amount of the wiper receptical container being owed to the customer has more to do the neglect of Woodings labor, than the actual damage, and the fact this customer was told just days after paying for their services, there is no warranty of any kind for their work, work I would call sloppy,

Response:

As of now, we (Wooding's Auto Body) can not pay/refund Mr. [redacted] $76.09. The washer container is not located at the top of the vehicle near the hinge or mounting area or the hood, therefore the washer container can not be damaged nor need replacement from the said vibration, or loose bolts. (part # [redacted] washer reservoir)Thanks again[redacted]Wooding's Auto Body Works, Inc.

Response:

I have reviewed the response offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.1) Prizms hood bolt was negligence provided by Woodings body shop having never completly bolted the hood to the car. The nut was frozen on the bolt, halfway screwed on the bolt, so whenever the vehicle went on the interstate to do the posted speed limit, the bolt connecting the hood to the vehicle had a half inch flap, that would move up and down like a piston in an engine.2) Prizms dome light was damaged in Woodings attempt to repair the Prisms roof of the vehicle, apparently the function on the dome light was not taken in consideration when the vehicle was returned to the owner of the vehicle, for which me, the owner of the vehicle did not understand till about 8:30 PM that night, knowing the other issues this vehicle has with Woodings, and complaining to Secretary had become a lost cause, decided to contact the owners directly, figuring there would probably an answering machine, knowing it was after dark,. I actually managed to get a hold of the owner, and his major concern was about how late the custumer was calling, then was told to bring vehicle back the next morning to have it repaired or replaced.3) Prizms owners manual disapeared from the glovebox, I just purchased a used one from e-bay, for 25.00, this week.4) Prizm had to returned to Woodings so they could scrub and remove paint from around the door insulations, and door frame.5) Prizms backseat and floorboards had to vacuumed out, the Secretary at Woodings auto body hands the owner of the Prism a receipt,(the vehicle was repaired with multiple estimates and payments) and stated "We wil heip you, vacuum out your vehicle", in an rude way. Which is odd since me, the owner of the Prism vacuumed out the vehicle every single time the vehicle was brought in to be worked on, which was multiple times. There was gravel all over the back seat and floorboards.6)Prisms washer fluid container, part number [redacted], purchased from [redacted] for a total of 95.99, was replaced from being damaged with negligence from Woodings autobody not properly and fully connecting the hood to the vehicle. From beginning to end, and still today, one can understand from this list of problems and issues with the prism, the people at Woodings, and the owner the Prism, me, that there is no desire to satisfy the needs of this particular vehicle, and the needs of this particular owner. Over 5,000 dollars have been spent at Woodings to repair this particular vehicle, and somehow Woodings feel they are entitled to pick and choose whether a custumer is satisfied with their work, there is nothing to be earned, Woodings is entitled to the money being spent, and the money does not have to be earned, and where does the definition of respect have to with the issue of custumer satisfaction. When everything is one sinded and people are stating I am wrong about everything, reminds me of the time law enforcement tried to convince my mother I was born in the United States, and the Authorities had a concern of where I was and where [redacted] could be found, there is a bit of a problem,, I was born in Naples Italy, and the concern for where I was, I was at the Roanoke Memorial Rehab, the same place the Authorities dumped me a day earler. so as it can been seen, I do not see Roanoke as a place for a home, I see it a city of detention and harasment.
