I hired this company to rebuild 3 retaining walls for me in August. I asked several times for, but didn't receive, an invoice. They began working at my home when I wasn't there. I paid the first installment as they had started work and seemed a legitimate business. At the beginning of September, the owner told me he had a big job to do so would be moving the big machine out and that he wanted paid the final payment. As the work was mostly complete, I agreed and paid a second check. I did show him an area that I was concerned about, as it was wet even though we had not had any rain for some time. He did not appear concerned. Two days later, I contacted him via text to let him know there was now a small pool of standing water in the area. Between Sept.5 and Sept. 27 I texted him several times (he always said he was coming out "tomorrow" or "next week" to finish the job but did not). They left 2 large piles of debris in my yard, including drainage pipe, plastic, and organic materials. I found cigarette butts, water jugs, garbage and leftover rocks throughout the yard. They left 4 large bushes around the yard, too large for me to move on my own. They left one wall partially supported by large rocks, but the other portion completely open that would have left soil to erode immediately, had I not finished it myself. Two areas in the yard have extremely great slopes, so that I feel unsafe mowing there. Several of the walls end abruptly, The flushout pipe is uncapped. I have never seen water drain from the outlet, regardless of flood-level rain in January or when I put a hose down the flush-out. Instead, a large pool of water formed about 1/2 between flushout and outlet I have had standing water in the area since September 5, so much that it starts to cover the patio.The owner did send crew out on Sept 27 to remove the debris but flushout pipe is still uncapped. I address the case through the Attorney General, but owner was uninterested in mediation
I hired this company to rebuild some failing retsini g walls for me Although workers were cheerful and quick, they finished the job incompletely and left piles of garbage, debris, and large rocks too heavy for me to move. My back area now floods every time it rains, which it didn't do prior to their work. They also left white pipes sticking out of the dirt with no caps. Definitely not eorths the thousands of dollars I paid
