Woodlake Pet Hospital Reviews (%countItem)

On 2/25/2020 I acquired a young cat from a neighbor. My neighbor took baked at 2 provide for examination and the cat had a fever but everything was deemed ok and I could take the cat home that day. I came over to the neighbors, picked up the cat and took him home. I was also told the cat had been given an injection for the fever.SO I took the cat home, named him ***. Harley for short. I got him settled in and right before I went to bed, *** vomited. I did not think a lot about it since he was just checked earlier in the day by the vet and was eating and drinking. I went to work the following day. I observed several places where *** had vomited. I also noticed he was a little lethargic, but still eating and drinking. By Wednesday *** was a lot worse. Walking around meowing a lot, stopped eating, very lethargic. Took back to the same vet, he gave an injection said bring him back if worse. The next day he was worse. The vet did blood work, went over it said *** had a Gastrointestinal infection, he did subcutaneous fluids and put meds in I've. Said he should start improving.I got home with him 20 mins later he had passed away. My neighbor and I were beyond upset we buried him after saying some prayers. The next day I called the vets office to tell them what happened and that I would like a refund. The person said he would ask the Dr and call back. He never did I called back was treated extremely rude said I was not getting anything back. That the cat had an auto immune disorder. This was never ever discussed with me or my neighbor. when I persisted to ask more questions. I was hung up on. I called back and I asked Why I was treated That way I was told they didn't need a reason. I paid for services and received an animal in worse shape. I would like a full refund in the amount of 197.86. I also want them blacklisted due to the way I was handled.

Tell us why here...*** ( A stray cat) was picked up by Ms. on the street and brought in for an exam and vaccines. At the time the cat had fever, so postponed vaccines, offered Blood work, the owner does not want to spend much money because the owner is giving away the cat to someone in their neighborhood. So treated symptomatically with long acting antibiotic (Convenia) and onsior for fever. The same day the cat went to Ms. Home, the next day the cat started throwing up, looked lethargic, so she brought it back to the clinic for an exam, and the owner said the cat ate food that morning and threw up multiple times at home, no other symptoms reported. At the time of examination cat had acute abdomen ( painful abdomen) and threw up undigested / Partially digested food on table after abdominal palpation, so suspected for linear foreing body or Gastritis and offered Blood work and X-rays to see what was going on, Owner said she has not had money so she was going to use care credit, double checked online for care credit status and called company they said her account was not active base on her telephone number, so gave her quote, she said she cant pay the money so declined diagnostics and wants us to give anti nausea shot (cerenia) to stop vomiting, warned about the grave prognosis given the circumstances (Stray unvaccinated cat, could have ingested foreign body/ toxins or infected with life threatening disease). While leaving the clinic she did not pay the bill and walked out with her cat.Next day she called and see if you would accept Insurance, which she claimed that once you submit claim they will pay us directly, that seems out of ordinary so we said, we won't accept other types of insurance except pets best which reimburses the customer after customer submits bills and veterinary records, so we informed her we don't accept whatever the insurance she was claiming, we don't see her cat unless she pays the bill at the time of service. so she came back on 02/27/2018 and wanted us to perform a physical exam and blood work but not the x-rays. The cat had mild fever and was extremely nauseous. So we gave her the pre-invoice, she okayed it. The blood work showed lack of white blood cells (weak immune system), otherwise normal. So I recommended symptomatic treatment based on blood work findings. The cat received subcutaneous fluids and cerenia and sent home oral antibiotic (flagyl) and propectalin ( probiotic) to continue for the next 5 days. And warned again if his condition gets worse she needs to take him to the ER. Next day we got a call from the owner and wanted to know why he died, we said it could be due to a weaker immune system or something else that we could not find on blood work. so the owner demanded a full refund. ***, to see if she could get full refund, Dr. said we had done blood work which cost $145 so we cant give her full refund, after conveying the message Ms. Dagen got enraged and call him "Fk You" and slammed the phone. Couple of days later we received an email from Revdex.com regarding Ms.' complaint and wanted a written explanation. We strongly believe that this cat was already sick with either FIV that sometimes missed on the *** test or Ingested foreign body/ toxins. To begin with the cat was already sick, no one knows how long the cat was sick, buying more time to do diagnostics and opting for only a few diagnostics and failing to go to the emergency clinic could have resulted in the death of the ***. Only way to find out the cause of death is autopsy/ Necropsy. If both owners think there was any malpractice involved then we will submit a claim to ***, the group of doctors will go over the case and find out if the standard of care met or not, based on that they either pay the refund or not.

Thanks
