We have receive your letter for this inquiry.  Also, we did receive your phone call on this matter and did promptly call back and left a voice mail.I did contact the customer on November 5, 2016.  We set a time and date to meet at a local grocery store for a compromise...

payment of $45.00.  We did meet at that grocery store on November 7, 2016 at approx. 4:30 PM and did agree on a payment back to customer of $45.00 cash.Originally, the customer did purchase materials at a local hardware store with me.  He paid and I had a sub contractor, hired by me deliver items to his residence.  In earnest, I did anticipate items to be delivered in full, since I did pay sub-contractor full wages to deliver items as me and customer instructed.  The lumber did get delivered, but customer stated that hardware wasn't on site when he returned to residence.I was present during delivery and did believe that all items that the customer purchased where delivered and on his residence.  We were not hired to deliver items.  Although we did take possession of items for delivery, we did deliver items and place them on customers residence.I believe that the hardware items that we place directly on lumber may have been misplaced, relocated, or stolen after delivery.  The residence is a rental unit.  We did deliver items in back of unit.  We did place these items in such, so they were not visible to heavy traffic from the main road in front.Lastly,  we did in earnest, deliver such items, without any contract of delivery, without any contract of construction of said items, and having good faith to our discretion, have made the promise of re-payment of said items, due to only being a third party in this situation.We do not regard ourselves responsible for said lost items once on customers property, but have good faith of valuing each persons opinion and believe the resolution of this monies to forthcoming to this customer.Hopefully we can have a resolution of an amicable outcome.  Based on the meeting with customer, he did state that we were in good standing based on the resolution of the $45.00.Please inform us of your decision.  Thank You all.Thank You-Tony Best Regards, [redacted]
