I have two complaints regarding sun communities.
The listing and sale of our mobile home.
We received the money from the sale of my late mother's mobile home today which represents 13 days after closing date of June 24, 2020. The contract states for a cash buyer that we would receive the funds within two business days. We made several phone calls but basically the local office continually blamed the main headquarters located in another state.
The other complaint is when we listed the property with Sun communities on July 19, 2019 at their recommendation asking price 97,900. They were confident and very convincing that this was a fair market value of the home. In September we realize the price was too high and reduce the asking price to 89,900, We reduced to 79,900 in October, in which shortly thereafter we did get an offer at full asking price of 79,900. We went to contract and after two weeks the deal fell through because the people weren't qualified for financing. I thought all real estate companies will not show property unless people were prequalified.
I STRONGLY believe this company set high resale prices in order to sell their brand new units in which comparable prices start at 130,000.
We eventually sold the unit for $62,000 in which the realtor gets an 8% commission of $4960. Over the course of the year it costs us over 10,000 in costs for HOA ($597 per month) and other monthly maintenance costs.
I feel the first contractual issue is illegal and the second issue is unethical.
We feel a fair resolution is the company does not deserve the $4,960 commission. This company costs us additional money and a tremendous amount of aggravation dealing with them over the entire process that took almost a year.
A written response is attached for your review, there is an error on the original case as it names Spanish Main RV & Mobile Home Community and this person *** sold a home that was her late mothers from The Woodlands at Church lake, not at Spanish RV. Thank You Monica S Regional VP, 248 208-2566 or

The letter did not address any of the two issues that I stated.
1. This was a cash sale in which the closing was June 24.
The contract and letter states that we receive the money within two days in which we received the money 13 days later.
The buyer was physically in the the house on the closing date.
2. They listed our house high purposely to sell their new houses.
We listed for 97,900 and almost a year later sold it for 62,000. If they listed the house in June 2019, at a fair market value around 69,000 we would've sold it way before the virus hit America.
The letter does not address any facts that pertain to my two issues. Legally they should not been able to hold our money for 13 days, especially allowing the new home owner in the house on the closing date.
This is the second response , re submitted as it appears on line it never was received. At this point we feel we have addressed the concerns and this complaint should be closed by the Revdex.com.
