Contact Name and Title: *** *** Gen Manag
Contact Phone: XXX-XXX-XXXX
Contact Email: ***@golfhgm.com
*** *** joined The Woodlands Golf Club as a full member in September 15'This membership allows a person to play as
little or as much as he wants in a years timeThe membership also includes a cartHe did play appoxtimes, but failed to mention all the times he made tee time and did not show up, costing the club revenue from an unused tee time
*** played times x $= $
Did not show up for tee time x $= $
(This is a very coservative estimate as he booked a whole slot and did not show upIf we were to of booked half (6) the tee time with players you're looking at a lost revenue of $936)It is the club's policy after missing tee times not to allow that person to book any more tee times
As you can see even over a few months he still got his moneys worth
Jerald does not walk, he uses a cart and we even have handicap flags if needing to drive right up to his ball due to his conditionWe did have a conversation and he explained his issueHis medical issue is not permanentIn good faith offered a partial refund or an extension of his expiration date if he was not able to utalize over the spring/summer/fall 16'When his expiration date nears we will have a better understanding if he has not used his membershipEventhough it is against the club's policy to offer a refund I was still willing to issue a refund down the road when we had a better understandingIf this was practice I believe many people would purchase a membership late in the year, try to play as much as they can and when it turns cold ask for a refund like I believe is the case here

I ([redacted]) am responded to the complaint made by [redacted]. I started talking with [redacted] in late 2016 in regards to her daughter ([redacted]'s) upcoming wedding. [redacted] actually came to see the facility before her parents and really liked the place (she met with [redacted]) later on I met with [redacted]...

and her husband [redacted]. I informed them the room was not clean we were in the staging process and getting everything back together from and upcoming event. We do all of the cleaning ourselves. It takes a few days to get everything in order. They did not complain once about the facility looked they both seemed understanding at the time. The only thing [redacted] seemed upset at was the fact that her daughter was getting married to this guy (I'm not sure of his name) she had mentioned he was not a good influence and didn't have anything going for him. After we met, we exchanged a few emails since they were planning in a short time, I sent emails with names and numbers: of the DJ contact, a rental company near us, and a baker to help them out. A short time had passed and I did not hear from them so I assumed they had found a new venue. [redacted] contacted me on DEC 9th to book the room. They do not live around here so I offered to send the contract and do the payment over the phone, all went well I sent the contact and she called in over the phone to make the payment. Since it was less than 6 months away we require the FULL room rental be paid upfront $795 she also wanted to add on our DJ which is ($650) only half of that was due upfront $325. She paid full room rental $795 plus dj $325 which was a total of 1,120. I accidentally sent over the wrong contract, as soon as I realized I sent her an email and the c[redacted]ect contract. She wasn't upset at all she just ask that I sent it to her home email, I did- no problem. Through this time we had been in contact via email/ and spoke a few times on the phone. She had called one day to tell me they were buying her daughters boyfriend a new car so they would use that money from the reception/room rental to get him a car to see if they could get their money back (this was a week or two before they had canceled). I told her I would see I could do, but I made no promises. After they decided they weren't getting him a car she mentioned of doing cake/desserts or appetizers another change, which I went along with and told her we could do. On DEC 28 [redacted] sent another email stating that the wedding was officially off and would like her refund. I told her I would see what I could do but, we had multiple people contact us in regards to her original date. March is not that busy but for some reason we got a lot of leads/phone calls. We have a calendar stating which days are booked and when the leads called in [redacted] had told them they were already taken, so we did lose out on re booking. I even tried to get in contact with them to see if they were still interested but everyone had booked at other venues, so I really did try to help them in any way that I could. I did tell [redacted] and the owner the issue but they were sticking to the contract, since it states it is non-refundable unless an act of God. I did everything in my power to help them. My manager, [redacted] agreed to give the deposit back for the DJ which is $325. I personally spoke with her and then her husband called one day and I explained to him we could for sure give the deposit back for the dj, again it would be $325. We had also agreed that we would honor the room rental if and when they decided to have the reception in the future. He said thank you and was very understanding, that's all he wanted was an email stating that, which I sent over. When I sent that over, [redacted] was quick to reply they were not getting married in the near future. We did everything they had asked (email/dj refund). Most places are not as understanding and willing to help out, which is exactly what we did. Please let me know if there is anything else I can help with or answer any more questions.
