Affordable Auto Rental is an easy business to get a vehicle from as long as you have a job and money downThat is why my daughter has purchased a couple vehicles from their different locationsShe is young with credit that her stepfather has destroyedAffordable Auto doesn't really check your credit so it was quite easy to get what she needed with a down payment The first vehicle she purchased from the Elkhart location was a Volkswagen Beetle that she loved but fell apart as soon as she paid it off (which was years early)Then she purchased a Grand PrixAfter having the Grand Prix for a month the heat went outWe took it in to Affordable Auto and they agreed to look at itThey replaced a part but it still did not workWe talked to them about it again but this time they wouldn't do anythingTwo months later, the car started making an odd soundWe had it looked at by our own mechanic to find that it had been filled with stop leakSo we had it flushed like our mechanic and the Affordable Auto mechanic suggestedOne week later, we had a blown head gasketIt was horrible Now, she has a Buick Rendezvous from them and it has been problem after problemFirst off, they told her it had 3rd row seatingThat is why she purchased the vehicle in the first placeHer being stupid and taking them in good faith, trusted that it was folded down and that's why she couldn't clearly see itNO! The 3rd row seating has been taken off for storage option insteadShe got over it and decided she could always find a new seat from a junk yardAbout two months later she started smelling gas really badAfter having my mechanic look at the car, she found out the gas line had a major holeAffordable Auto had "patched" the hole by putting material over itAll that did was cause the gas to rust through itThey disguised the problem just to sell it quick and get out of fixing itMy grandchildren are very young and shouldn't have been exposed to that at all! My daughter could have been in the car and it could have caught fire Two former employees at different locations have both personally told me that Affordable Auto buys cars from auctions to just do a quick turn around with no real intent to sell a good vehicleThey patch any problems so that people are fooled The only reason this place is still in business is because it's so easy to get a vehicleThey don't even report to the credit bureaus that you've been making timely payments or notI DO NOT recommend these places to anyone! I suggest saving your money and purchasing from a real car lot

Affordable Auto Rental is an easy business to get a vehicle from as long as you have a job and money down. That is why my daughter has purchased a couple vehicles from their different locations. She is young with credit that her stepfather has destroyed. Affordable Auto doesn't really check your credit so it was quite easy to get what she needed with a down payment.

The first vehicle she purchased from the Elkhart location was a Volkswagen Beetle that she loved but fell apart as soon as she paid it off (which was 1.5 years early). Then she purchased a Grand Prix. After having the Grand Prix for a month the heat went out. We took it in to Affordable Auto and they agreed to look at it. They replaced a part but it still did not work. We talked to them about it again but this time they wouldn't do anything. Two months later, the car started making an odd sound. We had it looked at by our own mechanic to find that it had been filled with stop leak. So we had it flushed like our mechanic and the Affordable Auto mechanic suggested. One week later, we had a blown head gasket. It was horrible.

Now, she has a Buick Rendezvous from them and it has been problem after problem. First off, they told her it had 3rd row seating. That is why she purchased the vehicle in the first place. Her being stupid and taking them in good faith, trusted that it was folded down and that's why she couldn't clearly see it. NO! The 3rd row seating has been taken off for storage option instead. She got over it and decided she could always find a new seat from a junk yard. About two months later she started smelling gas really bad. After having my mechanic look at the car, she found out the gas line had a major hole. Affordable Auto had "patched" the hole by putting material over it. All that did was cause the gas to rust through it. They disguised the problem just to sell it quick and get out of fixing it. My grandchildren are very young and shouldn't have been exposed to that at all! My daughter could have been in the car and it could have caught fire.

Two former employees at different locations have both personally told me that Affordable Auto buys cars from auctions to just do a quick turn around with no real intent to sell a good vehicle. They patch any problems so that people are fooled.

The only reason this place is still in business is because it's so easy to get a vehicle. They don't even report to the credit bureaus that you've been making timely payments or not. I DO NOT recommend these places to anyone! I suggest saving your money and purchasing from a real car lot.
