August 25, 2015 Ms. [redacted] Revdex.com Corporate Office [redacted] Reference: Response to Complaint by [redacted]  Dear [redacted] I, Mrs. [redacted], was the funeral director in charge at [redacted]-Keatts Funeral Home and [redacted]...

[redacted]. On Thursday morning, July 9, 2015, I did meet with [redacted] to discuss making funeral arrangment for her father. I went over everything with her concerning her father's funeral and I did provide her with an itemized statement of the services. The funeral bill total was $5276.00. [redacted] wanted the funeral service Saturday, July 11 at 11:00 am in the chapel. I informed her that we could do this but Mr. [redacted] needed to know where his $5276.00 was coming from (by insurance, credit card, or cash). She said that she would be back with the money. At this time, no payment was paid. On Friday morning, July 10, [redacted] came in and paid [redacted] $800.00 and was given a receipt. [redacted] gave the money to Mr. [redacted]. I informed [redacted] that [redacted] would be bringing,me another $1000.00 by noon and we will go ahead with the Wake. [redacted] works 9 to 5 pm and at 12 noon [redacted] never showed up. [redacted] left at 5 pm and still no [redacted]. Before [redacted] left, she informed Mr. [redacted] that [redacted] was suppose to bring me a $1000.00. By 7 pm she calls Mr. [redacted] and informed him she had only $400.00. Then I talked to [redacted] about doing a cheaper service since she could not come up the money. The option was a graveside service any other day beside Saturday because this was Friday and the grave diggers had gone home. Then on Saturday (July 11) afternoon instead of waiting till Monday, she came in and paid [redacted], another employee, $1756.00 for the graveside service but she didn't pay for the opening and closing of the grave - $600.00 to [redacted] which she still owes. [redacted] scheduled the service for Monday, July 13. She asked [redacted] to run the obituary in the paper, which he cannot do. The next day after the service [redacted]'s mother called the funeral home tofind out why there was no obituary in the newspaper about her husband. [redacted] told her that it was not included in the bill and [redacted] did not pay for it. The following week her mother came by the funeral home asking about the death certificate and a copy of the funeral bill. [redacted] told her mother that the death certificates were not included in the funeral bill either and that [redacted] did not pay for it,and she would have to purchase them herself. (1st one $21.00, additional ones are $4.00 each)I made a second itemized statement of Mr. [redacted] funeral bill for [redacted] to come in and sign which did not include the newspaper and the death certificates which has to be paid for and she chose not to have programs for the service made and did them herself. A copy of the bill was never given to the mother because [redacted] have not signed it.As of this day, August 25, 2015, [redacted] has not been back to the office to sign the itemized statement, get her copy or talk about the $600.00 she owes [redacted], nor has she called. The only person we have heard from is the mother and the Revdex.com.[redacted] has not tried to resolve this matter. [redacted] has the records in her file and the $600.00 is not due the funeral home but the cemetery.Regards,Mrs. [redacted] Funeral Director Answer to [redacted]'s Desired Settlement:1.    The death certificate is filed. She can go to the City of [redacted] with her drivers license andpurchase one. (1st one - $21.00 and any additional $4.00 each)2.    She can go to [redacted] Trib to the Obituary Dept. and put in any-thing she wants in the paper about her father and pay the charge of $5.00 per line.3.    I would love to express my apology to Mrs. [redacted] in person but I haven't met or seen her.4.    I would like [redacted] to get herself together and quit trying to use people. We are in business to serve and that's what we did. In order to maintain the business, we have to be paid for our services. She must realize that everybody is not  gullible. 5.    Last, she knows she owes the $600.00 at the beginning. All she had to do was pay it and the Revdex.com would not be involved.
