2015 BMW R1200GSA owned by Mr [redacted] has been in our shop on two occasions. June of 2016 and September 2017. Annual Service was June 2016 visit at which time vehicle had 3394 miles on it. A break system service was performed at this time. A factory recall campaign and annual...
service was performed in September 2017 and no work was performed to the brake system. Vehicle had 3734 miles on it at time of September service. Vehicle was used for 340 miles and approx 2 years and 4 months from time of last documented brake system service and approximately 4 months time from last visit. Mr [redacted] contacted dealership to report his concern and was advised to remove the wrench he claimed was attached to vehicle after review of circumstances by Woods Fun Center Service Manager. Mr [redacted] did not feel comfortable in doing this. Mr [redacted] was advised to return vehicle for a complimentary vehicle safety inspection and to allow for removal of wrench that was described to be attached which he declined. He was then advised to send picture of described situation. Service Manager inquired with Mechanic and Shop Foreman involved with Mr [redacted] multiple service visits, with out their knowledge as to why, to ask if either of them were missing a wrench or replace a wrench of the particular size in last several years. Both individuals indicated they had not. Mr [redacted] was advised Woods Fun Center would send a representative to his location to inspect vehicle which he also declined. Based on the known facts the described situation seems to be odd from all parties perspectives. Assistance has been offered to Mr [redacted] and he has chosen to decline. Mr [redacted] can take his vehicle to the Service Center of his choosing for future services if he prefers not to use Woods Fun Center. His contract is attached for his records. It is the servicing dealers discression whether or not they will perform service per his contract with Interstate. It also appears that Mr [redacted] contract expires 5/29/18 in approximately 3 months. Woods Fun Center will continue to assist Mr [redacted] if he chooses with his concerns related to claim of wrench on vehicle and perform services entitled up to expiration of contract. Mr [redacted]'s contract is non cancellable after 30 days of purchase.
